Automotive superlatives include attributes such as the ''smallest'', ''largest'', ''fastest'', ''lightest'', ''best-selling'', and so on. This list (except for the firsts section) is limited to automobiles built after World War II, and lists superlatives for earlier vehicles separately. The list is also limited to production road cars that: *Are constructed principally for retail sale to consumers for personal use transporting people on public roads. No commercial or industrial vehicles are included *Have had 25 or more instances made by the original vehicle manufacturer offered for sale to the public in new condition (cars modified by either professional tuners or individuals are not eligible) *Are street-legal in their intended markets and capable of passing any official tests or inspections required to be granted this status Calendar years rather than "model years" are used except when explicitly marked as otherwise. Mercedes-Benz Vario
The Mercedes-Benz Vario (model designation BM667/668/670) is a full-size commercial heavy van manufactured by Mercedes-Benz between 1996 and 2013. History The Vario was launched in 1996 as a facelifted version of the Mercedes-Benz T2. The bodyshell remained relatively unchanged throughout its 17-year production life. The Vario proved a popular base chassis for minibuses and mini-coaches. When new regulations required disabled access, a model with a wheelchair lift was made available. The Vario was fitted with several types of Mercedes-Benz engines. Pre-2000 vehicles used a 5-cylinder OM602LA (2874 cm3) and 4-cylinder OM904LA (4250 cm3), turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine. The Hummer H1 is a four-wheel-drive utility vehicle based on the M998 Humvee, which was developed by AM General when it was a subsidiary of American Motors Corporation (AMC). The Ford Country Squire is a series of full-size station wagons that were assembled by American automaker Ford. Positioned as the top-level station wagon of the Ford division, the Country Squire was distinguished by woodgrain bodyside trim. Mercury Commuter
The Mercury Commuter is a full-size station wagon that was produced by Mercury from 1957 to 1968. When introduced for the 1957 model year it was priced below Mercury's other two new full size wagons as a part of the Mercury Monterey series, alongside the mid-range Voyager and the top-level Colony Park. In 1957 the same Lincoln Y-Block V8 that was standard equipment on the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser was optional equipment on the Commuter. From 1957 until 1960 all Mercury station wagons were hardtops, and also offered a rear window that retracted into the tailgate that was not offered on Ford branded station wagons.
