Ligang Labas
Ligang labas is a Tagalog language term for playing in a sports league (oftentimes basketball) other than where a player's team is primarily playing. Translated as "outside league" (or, "league that's not ours"), ligang labas is also a description used by former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) players on the leagues that they've played at after leaving the PBA. Benefits Pay at ligang labas is lucrative for ex-professionals. Players such as Val Acuña and Lester Alvarez pursued careers via ligang labas after being cut from the PBA rosters. Jeff Alvin Dumelod Viernes (born May 18, 1989) is a Filipino basketball player for the Sarangani Marlins of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Gabriel Espinas (born January 3, 1982) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Batang Kankaloo – Caloocan of the Pilipinas Super League. A 6'4" forward, he was drafted fifth overall by the Beermen in the 2006 PBA draft. He made a name in the amateur ranks as the first-ever Rookie of the Year-Most Valuable Player of the NCAA while playing for the PCU Dolphins. The NCAA Season 94 basketball tournaments are the 94th basketball season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA are the season hosts. Separate men's and juniors' tournaments are held for male college and high school students, respectively. The San Sebastian Golden Stags (also known as SSC-R Stags) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball team of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos. Regille Kent Ilagan (born April 3, 1997) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Eliud Poligrates is a Filipino professional basketball player. He was drafted 27th overall in the 2013 PBA draft by Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters.
