Kukui (band)
Kukui is a Japanese band consisting of Haruka Shimotsuki (vocal, lyrics & composition) and Myu (composition, arrangement & lyrics). They have produced songs for anime and games, most notably the ''Rozen Maiden'' anime series. History Originally, Shimotsuki and Myu of Refio (formerly a band made up of Myu and Riya) collaborated under the name Refio + Haruka Shimotsuki when they performed "Toumei Shelter", ending theme for ''Rozen Maiden'' in 2004. Not long after they formed Kukui and produced a dojin single "Yumewatari no Yoru", which was sold at the 67th Comic Market the same year. The following year they returned to provide the ending theme for Rozen Maiden's second season, ''Träumend'', and made their first major release as Kukui with the mini album ''Hikari no Rasenritsu''. Haruka Shimotsuki
is a Japanese singer and dōjin music composer known for her vocal themes in the ''Atelier Iris'' and ''Ar tonelico'' series. She also wrote the lyrics and sang the ending themes to the first two seasons of ''Rozen Maiden'' as well as the OVA under the name Kukui, with Myu. Shimotsuki's original music mainly consists of ethnic and fantasy music, and most of her songs are soft in tone. Career Haruka Shimotsuki started her career in 2001 beginning with singing main themes for games, and writing and composing songs. She started releasing her dōjin music under the names Maple Leaf and tieLeaf; tieLeaf is a collaborative circle with Ao Sorano and Nao Hiyama. Maria-sama Ga Miteru
, often shortened to , is a Japanese light novel series written by with illustrations by Reine Hibiki. Originally written as a short story in 1997, Shueisha published 37 light novel volumes from April 1998 to April 2012. The story focuses on a group of Adolescence, teenage girls attending the Catholic school, Catholic Lillian Girls' Academy in Tokyo, Japan. Its storyline largely revolves around the lives and close relationships of the school's student council known as the #Yamayuri Council, Yamayuri Council. A manga adaptation was published by Shueisha in ''Margaret (magazine), Margaret'' and its sister magazine ''The Margaret''. Book Girl
is a collection of Japanese light novels by Mizuki Nomura, with illustrations by Miho Takeoka. The series contains 16 volumes: eight cover the original series, four are short story collections, and four are of a side story. The novels were published between April 2006 and April 2011 by Enterbrain under their Famitsu Bunko imprint. Yen Press licensed the light novel series and began releasing it in English in North America in July 2010. There have been four manga adaptations serialized in Square Enix's shōnen ''Gangan Powered'' and ''Gangan Joker'', and Kadokawa Shoten's shōjo ''Beans Ace'' and ''Monthly Asuka''. Tales Of The Abyss
is an action role-playing game developed by Namco Tales Studio as the eighth main title in their '' Tales'' series in celebration of the series' 10th anniversary. Originally released for the PlayStation 2, the game was published by Namco in Japan in December 2005, and Bandai Namco Games in North America in October 2006. Its development team included director Yoshito Higuchi, producer Makoto Yoshizumi, and character artist Kōsuke Fujishima. True Tears (anime)
''True Tears'' (stylized as ''true tears'') is a Japanese anime television series produced by P.A. Works and directed by Junji Nishimura. It aired in Japan on tvk between January 6, 2008, and March 30, 2008, containing thirteen episodes. The series shares almost nothing in common with the visual novel of the same name that preceded it, using an entirely different story with different characters, and a different art style. An Internet radio show hosted by three voice actresses from the series was also produced to promote it. A Blu-ray box set released in Japan contained an extra three-minute epilogue. Sola (series)
''Sola'' is a Japanese work originally conceived by Naoki Hisaya (main writer of '' Kanon'') with original character design by Naru Nanao (designer of '' D.C.: Da Capo''). It was first unveiled through the prologue of the manga featured in the Japanese manga magazine ''Dengeki Daioh'' on December 21, 2006, published by MediaWorks. The manga, which is illustrated by Chako Abeno, ended serialization on February 21, 2008.
