King Of Champa
King of Champa is the title ruler of Champa. Champa rulers often use two Hinduist style titles: ''raja-di-raja'' ( " king of kings"; written here in Devanagari since the Cham used their own Cham script) or ''po-tana-raya'' ("lord of all territories"). The regnal name of the Champa rulers originated from the Hindu tradition, often consisting of titles and aliases. Titles (prefix) like: Jaya ( "victory"), Maha ( "great"), Sri ( "glory"). Aliases (stem) like: Bhadravarman, Vikrantavarman, Rudravarman, Simhavarman, Indravarman, Paramesvaravarman, Harivarman... Among them, the suffix -varman belongs to the Kshatriya class and is only for those leaders of the Champa Alliance. Po Klong M'hnai
Po Klaong Mah Nai (?–1627), also spelled Po Klong Menai, Po Klău Manai or Po Klong M'hnai, was the king of Panduranga (Champa), Panduranga Champa, ruling from 1622 to 1627. He was an officer of Champa with the noble rank Maha Taha. He was a Muslim, in 1622, he killed the Hindu king Po Ehklang and seized the throne. He chased off visiting Jesuits. In the years 1622 to 1630, Dutch merchant ships were attacked by "Malay" soldiers in South China Sea; actually they were attacked by Chams, not Malays (ethnic group), Malays. The country was in chaos, bitter fighting between Cham Hindus and Cham Muslims provoked. In 1627, his throne was succeeded by a Churu people, Churu chief, Po Rome. The Po Klaong Mah Nai Temple is in Phan Rí, about 15 km from Bắc Bình District, Bình Thuận Province. Sambhuvarman
Jaya Sambhuvarman of Champa ( Chinese: 商菩跋摩 / Shang-bèi-bá-mā), personal name Fan Fanzhi ( Chinese: 范梵志), was the king of Lâm Ấp from 572 to 629 AD. Relation with Sui China In 595 AD, Sambhuvarman sent tribute to the Sui dynasty of China. Due to a myth that Champa was an immensely rich area, Sui officials began to take a special interest in it; in 605 Yang Chien ordered general Liu Fang to invade Lâm Ấp. Sambhuvarman's army faced off against the Chinese forces with many war elephants. At first they had some success, but Liu Fang's troops dug ditches and covered them with twigs. The elephants were alarmed by the ditches and retreated, causing disorder in Sambhuvarman's army. It was completely routed, with immense slaughter. Rudravarman I
Rudravarman I (r. 529–572 AD; Chinese: 高式 律陁羅跋摩; pinyin: ''Gāoshì Lütuóluóbámó'', Early Middle Chinese: ''*lɔ-dɑ-lɑ-bɑt-mɑ'') was a king of early Champa. Rudravarman was a descendant of king Manorathavarman (Fàn Wéndí). His father was a brahman, while his mother was a niece of Manorathavarman. In 530 he was enfeoffed with titles king of Linyi (Linyi Wang 林邑王), Commissioner with Special Powers (Chijie 持節), Commander-in-Chief of all Military Affairs in the Coastal Region (Dudu Yanhai Zhujunshi 都督沿海諸軍事), General of Pacification of the South (Annan Jiangjun 安南將軍) by the Chinese Liang dynasty. Gangaraja Dynasty
Gangaraja was a king of early Champa. He was the founder of Gangaraja dynasty (often known as the Simhapura dynasty or the Gangeśvara). Gangaraja was an intelligent and brave person, and was expected to ascend the throne of Champa. He ruled for a short time, then abdicated the throne and personally went on pilgrimage in Jahnavi (the Ganges River), Northeast India. Gangaraja viewed the Ganges gives birth to great joy.
