Robert Konieczny (pronounced: ; born 4 December 1969 in Katowice) is a Polish architect. He is the founder and CEO of KWK Promes, an architecture studio based in Katowice. Konieczny is the designer of The Dialogue Centre Upheavals in National Museum, Szczecin, National Museum of Szczecin which was awarded as The Best Public Space in Europe at European Prize for Urban Public Space organized by Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona. The project also was named as the World Building of the Year by World Architecture Festival, in 2016. Konieczny also is a member of Académie d'architecture. Career Konieczny graduated from Silesian University of Technology with a with a bachelor's degree in architecture. In 1996, he received the certificate of New Jersey Institute of Technology. Tomasz Konieczny (; born 10 January 1972) is a Polish bass-baritone. Life and work He was born on 10 January 1972 in Łódź, Poland. He commenced his studies as an actor at the Film, TV and Theatre Academy in Łódź. Following this he studied voice at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, finishing his studies under the guidance of Professor Christian Elßner at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. Jerzy Marian Konieczny (12 September 1950 – 27 July 2020) was a Polish lawyer, civil servant, academic and author. Konieczny served as the Chief of the Urząd Ochrony Państwa (UOP), Poland's former intelligence agency, from 1992 to 1993. He then served briefly as Ministry of Interior (Poland), Minister of the Interior from 1995 to 1996. Biography Konieczny was born on 12 September 1950. He earned a degree in chemistry from the University of Silesia in Katowice and studied law at Jagiellonian University. He received his doctorate of law from the University of Wrocław in 1979. He also completed a postdoctoral degree in legal science from the University of Silesia in 1990. Konieczny served as Chief of the Urząd Ochrony Państwa (UOP) from 1992 to 1993. Marian Adam Konieczny (13 January 1930, Jasionów – 25 July 2017 Jaroszowiec) was a Polish sculptor and politician, Professor and Dean at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Life A 1954 graduate of the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie (Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts) in Kraków, Konieczny was a student of Xawery Dunikowski. He was a professor and rector of the Academy from 1972 to 1981. Konieczny sculpted many notable monuments, such as the Warsaw Nike, Martyrs Memorial in Algiers, General Tadeusz Kosciuszko in Philadelphia and Pope John Paul II in Leżajsk. In 2000, President Aleksander Kwasniewski awarded him the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta. The Red Army Faction (RAF) existed in West Germany from 1970 to 1998, committing numerous crimes, especially in the autumn of 1977, which led to a national crisis that became known as the " German Autumn". The RAF was founded in 1970 by Andreas Baader, Gudrun Ensslin, Ulrike Meinhof, Horst Mahler, and others. The first generation of the organization was commonly referred to by the press and the government as the "Baader-Meinhof Gang", a name the group did not use to refer to itself. The RAF was responsible for 34 deaths, including many secondary targets such as chauffeurs and bodyguards, and many injuries in its almost 30 years of activity.
