Karunas
Karunas (born 21 February 1970 as Karunanidhi Sethu) is an Indian actor, politician and comedian in the Tamil film industry. Appearing mostly in supporting roles, he has also played lead roles in films including '' Dindigul Sarathy'' (2008) and ''Ambasamudram Ambani'' (2008). Apart from acting, Karunas has also been credited in films as a producer, music composer and a singer, while he continues to serve as the Vice-President of the Nadigar Sangam, after being elected in October 2015. Early life Karunas was born in Kuruvikkarambai, a village in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. He did his schooling at Palangudi Bharathi School and later studied at Nandanam Arts, Presidency College. Karunas began his career as pop singer and dancer, working extensively on Tamil folk music. He then gradually appeared in films as a comedian. Grace Karunas
Grace Karunas is an Indian playback singer, actress who has worked in the Indian film industry. The wife of actor Karunas, Grace has often sung in films featuring her husband. Career Grace began singing at the age of five with the CSI Church, Poonamallee. She continued singing with her church and at college and caught the interest of actor Karunas during an intercollegiate competition, which the actor had come to judge. Karunas subsequently asked Grace to perform songs in his independent albums, and the pair later got married. ''Ambasamudram Ambani'' () is a 2010 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by Ramnath. P. It was produced by actor Karunas, Singapore R. Saravana and A. John Peter. The Nadigar Sangam ( en, Actors' association), officially known as the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA), is a union for film, television, and stage actors in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, based in Chennai. Formed in 1952, the group has a charitable trust fund to provide pensions to retired actors, voice support for actors caught in controversy, and have collectively protested socio-political issues. Elections in the Nadigar Sangam, which is made up of over 3000 members, are held once every three years to determine the president of the group. R.
