Kandoora
Kondur or Kandoora is the largest village in the Sukhnag River valley, located on the eastern banks of the Sukhnag River. It lies on the Beerwah-to-Doodhpathri road and is from Srinagar, the largest city and summer capital of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which is the southern portion of the wider Indian-administered Kashmir region. Kandoora is a rural village, with agriculture its main economic activity. It is a Muslim community, with the inhabitants' first language being Koshur (Kashmiri), with other languages in use for particular purposes. Etymology The village name, ''Kandoora'', derives from: ks, کَنِۂ, translit=kanie, lit=stone, and ks, ڈُور, translit=doour, lit=field. Budgam District
Budgam district is a district in the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Created in 1979 with its headquarters at Budgam, it is the district with the largest population of Shias in the Kashmir valley. Administration Budgam district is the closest district to the union territory capital Srinagar (11 km). Budgam district came into existence in 1979, prior to which it was part of Srinagar district. In former times, Budgam was a part of Baramulla district, when Srinagar itself was a constituent of the Anantnag district. It was then known as tehsil Pratap Singh of Jammu and Kashmir, Sri Pratap. Historical records suggests that Budgam was also referred to as Pargana Deesu. According to the well-known chronicler Khawaja Azam Demari, the area was also known as Deedmarbag. Arizal (Kashmiri: ٲرٕزال ''Örŭzàl'' ːrɨzāl is a village in Budgam district in Kashmir region of Indian Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir. Beerwah also pronounced as Beeru is a subdistrict, tourist destination and one of the oldest town of Jammu and Kashmir and a municipal committee in Budgam district in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Khag
Khag is a tehsil in central Kashmir's Beerwah sub-district. It is also a block in Budgam district in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Provisions of the Panchayats (Extension to Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996 or PESA is a law enacted by the Government of India for ensuring self governance through traditional Gram Sabhas for people living in the Scheduled Areas of India. Scheduled Areas are areas identified by the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of India. Scheduled Areas are found in ten states of India which have predominant population of tribal communities.
