Junior Prom
''Junior Prom'' is a 1946 American musical comedy, directed by Arthur Dreifuss and produced by Sam Katzman and Maurice Duke. It was released by Monogram Pictures. It is the first of The Teen Agers series of movies. In 2018, the film was released on streaming download with a humorous audio commentary by Mary Jo Pehl and Bridget Nelson on RiffTrax. Harry Gibson sings '' Keep The Beat'' backed by Abe Lyman and his Orchestra Plot summary Musical teacher Miss Hinklefink receives criticism from her student Lee Watson at Whitney High School, because of the poor plot of famous operas. Later during the lecture, when Miss Hinklefink is away for a few minutes, the students learn about meter from Harry "The Hipster" by listening to swing. When Lee as so often is in the principal's office, a local businessman enters the room and offers to pay for the football team's new uniforms if his son, Jimmy Forrest, is elected as student body president. Arthur Dreifuss

was a German-born American film director, and occasional producer, screenwriter and choreographer. Dreifuss was active from 1939 through 1968, directing about 50 films and producing a few Columbia Pictures short subjects. Toward the end of his career, Dreifuss concentrated on youth culture films and exploitation movies.

Jackie Moran
Jackie Moran (January 26, 1923 – September 20, 1990) was an American movie actor who, between 1936 and 1946, appeared in over thirty films, primarily in teenage roles. Early life and Hollywood career A native of Mattoon, Illinois, John E. Moran first sang in a church choir. He was discovered by Mary Pickford who convinced his mother to take him to Hollywood for a screen test in 1935. Renamed Jackie Moran, he was subsequently cast in a number of substantial supporting roles. He became well-known with the 1938 release of David O. Selznick's production ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer''. The 93-minute big-budget Technicolor film presented Moran as Huckleberry Finn to Tommy Kelly's Tom Sawyer. Jackie Moran received critical praise for his natural acting style. Jackie Moran went on to star in several youth-oriented films for low-budget and poverty-row studios, such as Republic and Monogram. Hank Henry
Hank Henry (July 9, 1906 – March 31, 1981) was an American comedian, known for his stage work on the Las Vegas Strip for decades. He was also a film and television actor. Henry got his start in American burlesque and was the comic to straightman Robert Alda, Alan Alda's father. Biography Henry was born Henry Rosenthal in New York City; the son of Anna (née Richards), and Franklin Rosenthal. Henry's mother came from England, and his father was German-American descended from the Pennsylvania Dutch. Hank Henry made his screen debut in 1937, in a comedy short, ''Dime a Dance'', produced in New York by Educational Pictures. The film also featured up-and-coming performers Imogene Coca, Danny Kaye, June Allyson, and Barry Sullivan. It was a one-shot assignment, which Henry filmed during a burlesque engagement. Sam Flint
Sam Flint (born Samuel A. Ethridge; October 19, 1882 – October 17, 1980) was an American actor. Flint appeared in more than 230 films, often as a "judge, lawyer, military officer, senator, sheriff, chief of police, or doctor." Flint was married to actress Ella Ethridge, whom he met after she watched him in a play in Galveston, Texas.
