The Champ de Mars (; en, Field of Mars) is a large public greenspace in Paris, France, located in the seventh ''arrondissement'', between the Eiffel Tower to the northwest and the École Militaire to the southeast. IBSA World Games
The IBSA World Games (formerly IBSA World Championships and Games) or World Blind Games are an international multi-sport event, occurring every four years, organized by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA). The events enable blind and partially sighted athletes to compete in a number of sports. The first event took place at Madrid, Spain in 1998. The competitions in athletics, swimming, goalball and judo are part of the qualification process for the Paralympic Games. Paralympic judo has been contested at the Summer Paralympic Games since 1988. The sport is restricted to visually impaired competitors. Men's and women's events are held in various weight classes, just like judo at the Summer Olympics. Judo At The 2024 Summer Olympics
Judo competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from 27 July to 3 August at Grand Palais Éphémère in Champ de Mars. The number of judokas competing across fourteen different weight categories at these Games has been reduced from 393 in Tokyo 2020 to 372, with an equal distribution between men and women. Despite the slight changes in athlete figures, the judo program for Paris 2024 remains constant from the previous editions, as the competition will feature an equal number of bodyweight classes for men and women, with seven each, and the return of the mixed team tournament. Competition format The judo program features a total of fourteen bodyweight classes, seven each for both men and women.
