The Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) is a specialized Internet protocol for communication between client devices (computers, mobile phones, tablets, etc.) and printers (or print servers). It allows clients to submit one or more print jobs to the printer or print server, and perform tasks such as querying the status of a printer, obtaining the status of print jobs, or cancelling individual print jobs. Like all IP-based protocols, IPP can run locally or over the Internet. Intermountain Power Plant is a large coal-fired power plant at Delta, Utah, US. It has an installed capacity of 1,900 MW, is owned by the Intermountain Power Agency, and is operated by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The plant includes a HVDC converter. Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition
Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition is an annual award and competition in the engineering and design of mechanical puzzles. The location of the competition rotates between North America, Europe, and Japan. It was founded in 2001, and has been known since 2005 as the Nob Yoshigahara Puzzle Design Competition, after the renowned puzzler Nob Yoshigahara. The competition is held in conjunction with International Puzzle Parties founded by Jerry Slocum in 1978, an event dedicated to discussing, showing, and trading of mechanical puzzles. Due to the postponement of the 2020 International Puzzle Party as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 competition was held online only and not in conjunction with the puzzle party event. 2019 winners The 2019 competition had 61 entries. Imprisonment For Public Protection
In England and Wales, the imprisonment for public protection (IPP; ) sentence was a form of indeterminate sentence introduced by section 225 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 (with effect from 2005) by the Home Secretary, David Blunkett, and abolished in 2012. It was intended to protect the public against criminals whose crimes were not serious enough to merit a normal life sentence but who were regarded as too dangerous to be released when the term of their original sentence had expired. It is composed of a punitive "tariff" intended to be proportionate to the gravity of the crime committed, and an indeterminate period which commences after the expiration of the tariff and lasts until the Parole Board judges the prisoner no longer poses a risk to the public and is fit to be released. In computational complexity theory, the class IP (interactive polynomial time) is the class of problems solvable by an interactive proof system. It is equal to the class PSPACE.
