Introvoys
INTRoVOYS is a Filipino pop rock band formed in 1986 by 3rd-G Cristobal, Paco Arespacochaga and Jonathan Buencamino. The band is now based in Los Angeles, California. History Formation and early years: 1986-1988 INTRoVOYS was formed in Manila, Philippines in 1986 by 3rd-G Cristobal, Paco Arespacochaga, Jonathan Buencamino. 3rd-G and Paco were classmates in high school, but have known each other since elementary. The first incarnation of INTRoVOYS had Jonathan Buencamino, Paco Arespacochaga and 3rd-G Cristobal in a small rehearsal space on the corner of Katipunan and Santolan in Quezon City, Philippines. During their first rehearsal, 3rd-G taught Paco how to play the drums. Later, they added Jonathan Buencamino's younger brother Jj to play keyboards, Ira Cruz, lead guitars, and Jobert Buencamino for bass guitar. G3 Misa
Guillermo Vicente Misa III, nicknamed "G3" is a Filipino singer/songwriter and recording artist based in Los Angeles. He is also the former lead guitarist of the band Introvoys. He is known for the song "Habangbuhay", his carrier single from his 2014 solo album "Never Look Back". The music video for "Habangbuhay" features singer/actress Geneva Cruz as his leading lady. G3 comes from a family of musicians. Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Society is his uncle. G3 started playing acoustic guitar at the age of 13 when his dad, GV Misa (singer/actor/commercial model) taught him some 3 chord Beatles and Beach Boys songs. Ira Cruz
Ira Cara Cruz is a multi-awarded Filipino musician, composer and producer. He was a founding member of Filipino rock bands Hijo, Bamboo, Introvoys, Passage and Kapatid. Professional background Introvoys (1987-1991, 2001) Introvoys was formed in 1986 by 3rd-G Cristobal, Paco Arespacochaga, and Jonathan Buencamino. Their first album was a "diamond in the rough". After two singles, Dyna Records, which was the band's label, was ready to drop them like a hot potato. However, fate had a different plan. "However Which way" which was the band's third single shot all the way to No. 1 in Metro Manila in just 2 weeks. After a month, the song became the country's No. 1 song thus paving the way for a national tour for the Introvoys. Paco Arespacochaga
Enrico Luis Victor "Paco" Santos Arespacochaga (born 21 July 1971) is a musician and songwriter. He is the drummer of the Filipino pop-rock band Introvoys. Aside from receiving numerous Gold and Multi-Platinum awards, he also received the Guillermo Mendoza Award. Since 1995, he has been a Zildjian endorser. Introvoys (1986-1996) Arespacochaga was one of the founding members of Introvoys along with 3rd-G Cristobal and Jonathan Buencamino. Introvoys albums shot to quadruple platinum status earning the band the label “the No. 1 Band in the Land!”. In 1994 they released an album, ''Line to Heaven'', in which Paco sang the title song which he had composed after losing both his parents. In 1996, Arespacochaga left the band. Neocolours
Neocolours is a Filipino rock band formed in 1987, out of the remnants of a mid-1980s vocal group, in Manila, Philippines. Founding members were: Ito Rapadas (vocalist), Jimmy Antiporda (keyboard), Marvin Querido (2nd keyboards), Josel Jimenez (guitar), Paku Herrera (bass) and Nino Regalado (drums). At that time the pop music genre in the Philippines was dominated by solo singers. Neocolours filled in the pop music void with the release of their first album, ''Making It'' in 1988. The said album reached platinum sales, and helped usher in a new era in the Philippine recording industry that is now known as the early 1990s band explosion. Bamboo (band)
Bamboo was a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 2003 by lead vocalist Bamboo Mañalac, bassist Nathan Azarcon, lead and rhythm guitarist Ira Cruz and drummer Vic Mercado. Band origin Francisco "Bamboo" Mañalac serves as the band's frontman. Reynaldo Valera Guardiano, better known as Rey Valera (born 4 May 1954), is a Filipino singer, songwriter, music director, film scorer and television host.
