Indieszero
is a small video game development company headquartered in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan. It was founded on April 21, 1997, and has developed video games for other video game companies, including Nintendo, SEGA, and Square Enix. Overview The name of the company is a portmanteau, which came from the early days of the company, where the company strives to produce independent video games (indies) with a low budget and minimal connections to other developers which is described as "almost zero" (zero). From an interview with Famitsu, another candidate for the company name came from one of the fictitious game companies appearing in " Game Center CX Arino's Challenge". The philosophy of the company is to make games that are easy to understand and user-friendly. At the start, the company specialized in creating games for handheld systems, but eventually expanded to making mobile games. commonly abbreviated as Nintendo EAD and formerly known as Nintendo Research & Development No.4 Department (abbreviated as Nintendo R&D4), was the largest software development division within the Japanese video game company Nintendo. Electroplankton
is an interactive music video game developed by indieszero and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console, handheld video game console. It was first released in Japan in 2005, and was later released in North America and Europe in 2006. This game allows the player to interact with animated plankton and create music through one of ten different plankton themed interfaces. The first edition of ''Electroplankton'' in Japan is bundled with a set of blue colored ear bud headphones. Gameplay The game offers two game modes: Performance and Audience. Performance mode allows the user to interact with the plankton through use of the stylus, touchscreen, and microphone. Audience mode is like a demo mode, which simply allows the user to put down the system and enjoy a continuous musical show by all of the plankton, although the user can interact with the plankton just like in Performance mode. ''Theatrhythm Dragon Quest'' is a rhythm game developed by indieszero and published by Square Enix for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released in Japan on March 26, 2015, and was the first game of its type in the ''Dragon Quest'' series and the third ''Theatrhythm'' game after ''Theatrhythm Final Fantasy'' and '' Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call''. Gameplay ''Theatrhythm Dragon Quest'' features 65 musical pieces selected from the ''Dragon Quest'' series, all originally composed by Koichi Sugiyama. Additional tracks were released as downloadable content via the Nintendo eShop. There are three game modes: challenge mode, music-play and Casino. While tracks can be unlocked in challenge mode, playable characters can be unlocked in Casino. Shaberu! DS Oryōri Navi
is a cooking simulator for the Nintendo DS. It was released on July 20, 2006 in Japan. Brief information The software contains numerous Japanese recipes with step by step instructions, and the user can use the Nintendo DS's microphone for voice-recognition commands like turning pages. All the instructions are read out loud, while some instructions are video recordings showing how to do some tasks like chopping. It is possible to choose recipes based on a number of calories, the ingredients the user has and so forth. The simulator also keeps in memory what dishes the player has already made.
