Joseph Davis (born August 3, 1993), better known by his stage name Joey Purp, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He is one half of Leather Corduroys. He is one of the founding members of Savemoney. Early life Joseph Davis grew up bouncing between various neighborhoods of Chicago, ranging from Wrigleyville to Humboldt Park. His father ran a restaurant and his mother managed thrift stores. He attended Whitney Young High School, where he realized that he had a talent for freestyle rapping. In his senior year, he dropped out of high school. He worked and interned at LDRS 1354, a streetwear store at Wicker Park. Career In 2012, Joey Purp released his first mixtape, ''The Purple Tape''. Malcolm Martin (born September 19, 1992), professionally known as Thelonious Martin or King Thelonious is an American hip hop record producer from Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of the Chicago collective Savemoney. Life and career Malcolm Martin was born on September 19, 1992 in Chicago, Illinois. However, shortly afterwards he and his mother moved to New Jersey. Martin states his love for music started when he was 14 after watching the late night network Adult Swim and hearing a song by late Hip hop producer J Dilla. He later became a fan of other Underground hip hop producers, most notably Madlib. After graduating from Montclair High School, Thelonious moved back to Chicago joining forces with SAVEMONEY, led by Vic Mensa. Charles Singleton, known by his stage name Ducko McFli, is an American record producer, DJ, and songwriter based in Atlanta, Georgia. He initially gained recognition in 2014 for his production work on Drake's "Draft Day". He has since gone on to produce tracks for numerous notable artists including Lil Yachty, 2 Chainz, Khalid, and Joey Purp, among others.
