'' iTunes Originals'' is the first compilation album by South African rock band Seether. It was released exclusively through iTunes on 5 August 2008. It contains seven tracks exclusively recorded for the release at Groovemaster Studios, most of which are acoustic. It has a short interview track between each song track. It has six additional tracks from other albums. The "Tied My Hands" live track is from the ''One Cold Night'' live album. Also "He Was the Number One Fan nterview is about the tragic suicide of Shaun's brother. Seether
Seether are a South African rock band founded in 1999 in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. The band originally performed under the name Saron Gas until 2002, when they moved to the United States and changed it to Seether to avoid confusion with the deadly chemical known as sarin gas. Lead vocalist and guitarist Shaun Morgan is the band's longest serving member, bassist Dale Stewart joined shortly after formation while drummer John Humphrey joined them for the band's second album. Since 2018, the band has been employing second guitarist Corey Lowery. Several notable guitarists like Corey's brother Clint and Troy McLawhorn have toured or recorded with the band, however, Shaun has recorded most guitar parts for the band's records. "Truth" is a song by South African rock band Seether. It is the third track and second single from their album ''Karma and Effect''. The music video for this song was directed by Dean Karr, who had also directed the video for their previous single " Remedy", and features frontman Shaun Morgan disguised as a ring announcer, in a boxing ring, for a total of three fights: Round 1: Santa Claus vs. the New Years Baby (who is played by Martin Klebba), Round 2: Mardi Gras Woman vs. the Pumpkin King, and for the Main event, The Easter Bunny vs. Uncle Sam, who ended up portrayed by UFC martial artist, Tito Ortiz. Troy McLawhorn
William Troy McLawhorn (born November 4, 1968) is an American musician who has been a guitarist in the rock band Evanescence since 2007. He has also worked with the bands Seether, Dark New Day, doubleDrive, Still Rain, and Gibraltar. Early career McLawhorn was formerly of the bands Seether, doubleDrive and Still Rain. After the demise of his first band, Still Rain, McLawhorn helped form doubleDrive in 1996 and landed a recording contract with MCA records in 1998. They scored a top 20 hit with the song "Tattooed Bruise" from their debut album '' 1000 Yard Stare''. The band left MCA and signed a new deal with Roadrunner Records in 2001 and released their second album, ''Blue in the Face'', with the song "Imprint" reaching into the top 20 also. Shaun Morgan Welgemoed (, born 21 December 1978) is a South African musician. He is the singer, songwriter, and guitarist for the rock band Seether.
