Qingshui River Bridge
The Qingshui River Bridge (Qingshuihe Bridge) is a suspension bridge in Guizhou, China. The bridge, measuring above the Qingshuihe River, is the third highest suspension bridge in world. It is also one of the longest bridges with a main span of . The two towers of the suspension bridge are and tall. The main span uses a steel truss for deck support and stiffening. The bridge is part of the Guiweng Expressway. The bridge cost ¥1.54billion (£158million). The bridge was built to improve transportation in the region and will shorten the travel distance between Weng'an County and Guiyang from 160 km down to 38 km. Dongfeng Dam
The Dongfeng Dam is an arch dam on the Wu River northwest of Qingzhen in Guizhou Province, China. The primary purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and it supports a 570 MW power station. Construction on the dam began in 1989 and the first generator was operational in 1994, the last in 1995. The generators were up-rated between 2004 and 2005; bringing their capacity from 170 MW each to 190 MW. Design and operation The Dongfeng is a tall and long parabola-shaped arch dam. Wu River (Yangtze Tributary)
The Wu River () is the largest southern tributary of the Yangtze River. Nearly its entire length of runs within the isolated, mountainous and ethnically diverse province of Guizhou. The river takes drainage from a watershed. The river flows through the Liupanshui, Anshun, Guiyang (the capital), Qiannan, and Zunyi Districts of Guizhou. All nine regions of the province have at least partial drainage to the river. Course The river begins as the ''Sancha'' in western Guizhou and flows eastwards about . Lijiang (), also known as Likiang, is a prefecture-level city in the northwest of Yunnan Province, China.
