Sheila Heen is an American author, educator and public speaker. She is a senior lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, member of the Harvard Negotiation Project, co-founder of Triad Consulting, and author of two New York Times Best Sellers - ''Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most'', and ''Thanks for the Feedback: The Science and Art of Receiving Feedback Well.'' At Harvard, Sheila teaches negotiation and conflict management. Biography She received her B.A. from Occidental College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. Upon graduating law school, Heen joined the Harvard Negotiation Project in 1993 to focus on negotiation theory for practitioners. She married John Richardson in 1994. Walter Heen
Walter Meheula Heen (born April 17, 1928) is an American lawyer, politician and judge. He briefly served as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii and trustee of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. Education and career Born in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, Heen received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaiʻi in 1953. His grandfather, Harry A. Heen, was born Chung Mook-heen in Qing Dynasty China near the Xi River in Guangdong and came to what was then the Hawaiian Kingdom at age 17. He received a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1955. He was in private practice of law in Honolulu from 1955 to 1972. Arne Randers Heen
Arne Randers Heen (4 April 1905 – 7 February 1991) was a Norwegian mountain climber and member of the Norwegian resistance during World War II. Personal life Heen was born in Hen, Møre og Romsdal, and worked as a tailor in nearby Åndalsnes. He was a half brother of Gunnar Randers junior and uncle of Jørgen Randers. His father Gunnar Randers senior (1877-1963) was a civil engineer that worked in Ålesund after the 1904 fire. Heen's mother Sofie Heen (1877–1959) at the time worked as a waitress in Ålesund. His parents did not marry. Arne Randers Heen was a tailor like his mother. Career Heen is known for several first ascents, and his many ascents of Romsdalshorn, including the first winter climbing of the mountain. He was Norway's leading mountaineer from the 1920s to the 1950s. Heen Banda Dissanayaka
Heen Banda Dissanayake, SLAS (28 August 1937 – 5 March 2023) was a Sri Lankan civil servant. He was the Governor of the Central Bank of Ceylon. Born to a peasant family in the village of Musnewa, Anuradhapura District. His father was Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Kirihamige Tikiri Banda, a paddy farmer and his mother was Wijekoone Mudiyanselage Ranmenika. He was the second child of three children, born on 28 August 1937. He received his primary education in the village school, Negampaha Maha Vidyalaya. In 1947, he was sent to Kekirawa Central College, where he completed his Senior School Certificate and thereafter attended Ananda Sastralaya, Kotte. He graduated from the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya with the BA honours degree in Sinhala. Heen Banda Udurawana
Heen Banda Udurawana (15 December 1900 – 31 August 1989) was a member of the Senate of Ceylon and Diyawadana Nilame of the Temple of the Tooth, Kandy. Born at Udurawana, Wattegama; he was educated at Christ Church College, Wattegama and at the School of Agriculture, Alawatugoda. He became a planter, businessman, contractor and transport agent. He was elected to the Kandy Municipal Council in 1948 and served as Deputy Mayor and acted as Mayor on certain occasions. From 1967 to 1971 he was a member of the Senate of Ceylon. In 1948, was elected Basnayaka Nilame of Saman Devalaya, Alawatugoda and later became the Basnayaka Nilame of the Natha Devale in Kandy in 1958.
