__NOTOC__ Gmina Mrozy is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Mińsk County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Mrozy, Mińsk County, Mrozy, which lies approximately east of Mińsk Mazowiecki and east of Warsaw. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 8,681 (8,785 in 2013). Gmina
The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' , from German ''Gemeinde'' meaning ''commune'') is the principal unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,477 gminas throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminas include cities and towns, with 302 among them constituting an independent urban gmina ( pl, gmina miejska) consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta''). The gmina has been the basic unit of territorial division in Poland since 1974, when it replaced the smaller gromada (cluster). Three or more gminas make up a higher level unit called powiat, except for those holding the status of a city with powiat rights. Jeruzal, Mińsk County
Jeruzal is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Mrozy, within Mińsk County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately south of Mrozy, south-east of Mińsk Mazowiecki, and east of Warsaw. History The village was first mentioned in 1426 with the name Żeliszew. From the 16th to the 18th centuries, the town was the property of various noble families: the Oborskis, Głogów Rudzińskis, and the Cieszkowskis. In 1533 the Oborskis granted the privilege to set up a private town here. They erected it as a parish. Initially, the city functioned under the names Żeliszew and Łukowiec. Because the town was located just a few kilometers away from four other cities - Latowicz, Kuflew, Seroczyn and Wodynie - the economy never developed. In the 18th century, the city had a population of just 150. The situation did not improve when the town's name was changed to Jeruzalem (Jerusalem), the name which eventually evolved into today's form. During the ...
