Güeros
''Güeros'' is a 2014 Mexican road comedy-drama film directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios. Set in Mexico City in 1999, the film tells the story of three restless teenagers searching for a folk-rocker during the Mexican capital's student strike. The film won five Ariel Awards, including Best Picture in 2015. Plot In the opening scene, a young mother takes her crying infant outside in a stroller, only to be hit by a water balloon dropped by Tomas from the rooftop of the apartment building. Héctor Luis Palma Salazar
Héctor Luis Palma Salazar (born April 29, 1960), commonly known as "El Güero Palma", is a Mexican former drug trafficker and leader of the Sinaloa Cartel alongside Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán. After the brutal murder of his family ordered by his boss Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, Palma engaged in a string of vicious crimes to avenge his lost ones. Palma was arrested on June 23, 1995, and extradited to the United States where he served a jail sentence until June 2016. He was then deported back to Mexico and charged with a double homicide for having murdered two Nayarit police officers back in 1995. ''Queen of the South'' is an American crime drama television series developed by M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller. The series premiered on June 23, 2016, and concluded on June 9, 2021, with 62 episodes aired on USA Network. ''Guero'' is the ninth studio album by American musician Beck, released on March 29, 2005, by Interscope Records. It was produced with John King and Mike Simpson of the Dust Brothers, who had worked with Beck on his 1996 album ''Odelay'', as well as Tony Hoffer. The album was promoted with the singles "E-Pro", "Girl", and "Hell Yes", and debuted at number two on the US ''Billboard'' 200. Juan Francisco Murillo Díaz, also known as "El Güero Jaibo" (Mexican Spanish slang: "Tampico Whitey"), was a member of the Tijuana Cartel (Arellano Félix Organization), believed to be one of the masterminds and shooters behind the assassination of Cardinal Juan Jesús Posadas Ocampo in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in May 1993. Although he was never arrested, Murillo was identified as the actual shooter, along with Édgar Nicolás Villegas, AKA "El Negro" (The Negro). Alfredo Bojalil Gil (August 5, 1915 in Teziutlán, Puebla – October 10, 1999 in Mexico City), also known by his nickname El güero, was a singer and the creator and principal founding member of the musical trio, Trio Los Panchos. As a member of Los Panchos, he was the third voice and player of the ''requinto'', a small guitar which he invented, and is now a staple instrument. Delinquent Habits is an American hip hop group, formed in Norwalk in 1991. They are known for their Latin-tinged rap, which is both melodic and hardcore. Their first album was executive produced by Cypress Hill member Sen Dog and featured guest appearances by Sen himself as well as Puerto Rican New York City rapper Hurricane G. Their second album, ''Here Come The Horns'', again featured Sen Dog as well as Sen's brother, pioneering Latin rapper Mellow Man Ace. Gero (book)
''Gero'' (, in contemporary spelling) is a 17th-century ascetic book in Basque written by Pedro Agerre, better known as Axular. It is considered one of the masterpieces of classic Basque prose and literature altogether. Its accomplished, elaborate language in classic Lapurdian dialect turned it into a writing model for later writers from Labourd. It was published in Bordeaux in 1643 under the patronage of Bertrand D'Etchauz, the Basque archbishop of Tours (1617-1641). The book was written after the period of the harrowing "witch" persecution (Pierre de Lancre's intervention in Labourd). While the title's tagline reads "divided into two parts", only the existence of one book has been attested. Basque scholar Pierre Lafitte claimed that both parts had been merged into one. Gus Reyes (born June 27, 1977) is a Mexican musician and composer focused on film scoring. Reyes began his studies in music at the age of 8. His father, Jesus Gustavo Ramírez Avila (Student of Andrés Segovia 1893–1987) was his first teacher in music. During his early years Reyes was part of several Sacred Music Choirs, all directed by Phillipe H. Tolón, who was Lead Violín at the Opera Orchestra of Bellas Artes (Mexico) at that time. He became soloist fast, and gave tours for many years. Helmut Friedrich Lachenmann (born 27 November 1935) is a German composer of contemporary classical music. His work has been associated with "instrumental musique concrète".
