Fetish Art
Fetish art is art that depicts people in fetishistic situations such as S&M, domination/submission, bondage, transvestism and the like, sometimes in combination. It may simply depict a person dressed in fetish clothing, which could include undergarments, stockings, high heels, corsets, or boots. A common fetish theme is a woman dressed as a dominatrix. Femdom Strappado
A dominatrix (; ) or femdom is a woman who takes the dominant role in BDSM activities. A dominatrix can be of any sexual orientation, but this does not necessarily limit the genders of her submissive partners. Dominatrices are known for inflicting physical pain on their submissive subjects, but this is not done in every case. In some instances erotic humiliation is used, such as verbal humiliation or the assignment of humiliating tasks. Dominatrices also make use of other forms of servitude. Robert Bishop (bondage Artist)
Robert K. Bishop (1945-1991) was a bondage artist best known for his images of restrained and gagged women published by the House of Milan, for which he also worked as production manager. His main work period was during the 1970s and early 1980s. His work was largely monochrome, rendered using pencil, ink and airbrush. Disputes over Harmony Productions' "love bondage" ethos led to his leaving Harmony Productions for House of Milan. He also worked for Centurian Publications and produced cover illustrations for numerous bondage novels by F. E. Campbell. He also both wrote and illustrated a series of stories describing the misadventures of the character "Fanni Hall". He also made a small number of works depicting men being dominated by women. Leather Archives & Museum
The Leather Archives & Museum (LA&M) is a community archives, library, and museum located in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. Founded by Chuck Renslow and Tony DeBlase in 1991, its mission is "making leather, kink, BDSM, and fetish accessible through research, preservation, education and community engagement." The LA&M is a leading conservator of queer erotic art. Bill Schmeling (died September 12, 2019), better known by his pen name The Hun, was an American artist, known for his explicit, homoerotic fetish illustrations and comics. Touko Valio Laaksonen (8 May 1920 – 7 November 1991), pseudonym Tom of Finland, was a Finnish artist who made stylized highly masculinized homoerotic art, and influenced late 20th-century gay culture.
