Fan Rice
Fan rice (), usually stacks of rice bags decorated with ribbons and photos, are gifts from K-pop fans to their favorite artists. The amount of donated rice can vary between a few kilograms and several tonnes. The rice is usually then donated to a charity of the idols' choice. History The first instance of fan-donated rice was at Shin Hye-sung's concert on 11 August 2007. In previous years, it was common for fan clubs to create displays of flowers and decorative banners for their favorite idols. The trend started in the late 2000s when fans began to send food to their favorite music artists, and took off in 2011. Shin Hye-sung
Jung Pil-kyo (; born November 27, 1979) is a South Korean singer-songwriter. He is best known as a member of the South Korean boy group Shinhwa. The main vocalist of Shinhwa, he debuted as a solo artist in 2005 and has since released multiple albums in both Korean and Japanese. Biography 1998: Debut with Shinhwa Shin auditioned in America through Brothers Entertainment and joined Shinhwa after bandmates Andy and Eric. Launched on October 30, 2007, it is based in Edgewater, New Jersey, and is owned and operated by its parent company 6Theory Media. ''Allkpop'' is one of the most trafficked K-pop news sites, with over seven and half million readers per month. In its list of useful websites, ''The Korea Herald'' called it the "fastest news breaker" for K-pop. ''Back to the Basic'' is the first Korean-language extended play by South Korean R&B and pop singer Rain. It was their first EP two years after the release their Korean-language studio album Rainism. Upon the release the EP was a commercial performance and sold more than 56,000 copies in South Korea and 8,000 in Japan as of 2013. TVXQ (stylized as TVXQ!), an initialism for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (), is a South Korean male pop duo consisting of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin. They are known as in Japanese releases, and are sometimes referred to as DBSK, an abbreviation of their Korean name Dong Bang Shin Ki (). Their name roughly translates to "Rising Gods of the East". Formed by SM Entertainment in 2003, TVXQ began as a five-member boy band composed of members U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin, Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu.
