The county governor (; , in English) is a Norwegian government agency that represents the central government administration in all counties of Norway. Responsible for a number of supervision and management duties, the governor is the representative of the king and the government of Norway in each county, functioning as the connection between the state and the municipalities. The county governor is subordinate to the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation, but also to the other ministries in their respective duties. The main responsibilities of the governor include controlling and being an instance of appeal for municipal decisions and the main instance for exercising state regulation of agriculture and local environmental impact. Diocesan Governor (Norway)
The diocesan governor () was the head government official that oversaw the civil administration within a diocese in the Kingdom of Denmark-Norway and later in Norway. The bishop of the diocese oversaw the religious administration in the diocese and together, the two officials were the highest officials in the diocese, reporting directly to the king. Each diocese typically was made up of several counties which were led by a county governor (). The diocesan governor oversaw all the county governors within the diocese. The diocesan governor was the king's representative in the diocese, and their job was to ensure that the king's orders and laws were obeyed. Counties Of Norway
There are 15 counties in Norway. The 15 county, counties are administrative division, administrative regions that are the first-level administrative divisions of Norway. Gina Lund
Gina Lund (born 1962) is a Norwegian civil servant and politician for the Labour Party. She is currently serving as the county governor of Agder. She finished secondary education in Tvedestrand in 1981, and worked one year as a secretary in the Workers' Youth League. She graduated from the University of Oslo with a cand.jur. degree in 1991. Arendal () is a city in Agder county, Norway. The city is the administrative centre of the municipality of Arendal and the seat of the County Governor of Agder. Agder
Agder is a counties of Norway, county () and districts of Norway, traditional region in the southern part of Norway and is coextensive with the Southern Norway region. The county was established on 1 January 2020, when the old Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder counties were merged.
