Frailty is a common geriatric syndrome that embodies an elevated risk of catastrophic declines in health and function among older adults. Frailty is a condition associated with ageing, and it has been recognized for centuries. It is also a marker of a more widespread syndrome of frailty, with associated weakness, slowing, decreased energy, lower activity, and, when severe, unintended weight loss. Frailty has been identified as a risk factor for the development of dementia. As a population ages, a central focus of geriatricians and public health practitioners is to understand, and then beneficially intervene on, the factors and processes that put elders at such risk, especially the increased vulnerability to stressors (e.g. extremes of heat and cold, infection, injury, or even changes in medication) that characterizes many older adults. ''Frailty'' is the debut studio album by the American musician Jane Remover, released through DeadAir Records on November 12, 2021, under her former stage name, Dltzk. The album was supported by the release of three singles: "How to Lie", "Pretender", and "Search Party". A hyperpop, EDM, and emo record, ''Frailty'' was recorded within six to seven months in Remover's childhood bedroom using FL Studio and an acoustic guitar. Many of the experiences brought up in the album reference Remover's issues with her mental and physical health. The album was positively received by critics. Background and recording In a 2022 interview with '' Pitchfork'', Remover stated that she chose the album's title because " hethink 'frailty' means both weakness in the body and the mind". ''Frailty'' is a 2001 psychological thriller film directed by and starring Bill Paxton, and co-starring Matthew McConaughey and Powers Boothe. It marks Paxton's directorial debut. The plot focuses on the strange relationship between two young brothers and their father, who believes that he has been commanded by God to kill demons disguised as people. Plot Fenton Meiks visits FBI Agent Wesley Doyle claiming that his brother Adam is the culprit in the "God's Hand" serial killings. Fenton says Adam has committed suicide, prompting Fenton to fulfill a promise to bury his brother in a public rose garden in their hometown of Thurman. He begins to tell Doyle about the boys' childhood and suggests that the bodies of the God's Hand victims are buried in the rose garden. Jane Remover (formerly known as dltzk; also known as leroy and other names) is an American music producer. They are most well known for their 2021 debut album, ''Frailty'', as well as their pioneering of the "dariacore" microgenre on SoundCloud. Biography Remover grew up with their parents and twin sister in northern New Jersey and is currently enrolled at a college in the Philadelphia area. They identify as non-binary and use the pronouns they/she. Career Remover's interest in music production stems back as far as 2011, inspired by dubstep producers like Skrillex, Kill The Noise, and Virtual Riot. They would later go on to produce different styles of EDM in the mid-2010s, citing Porter Robinson as their biggest influence. The Banner (band)
The Banner is an American hardcore punk band from Bloomfield, New Jersey. The Banner broke up for a brief period in 2006 before reuniting with founding member Garrett DeFalco. The band released their third studio album, ''Frailty'', in 2008, which was written,recorded and produced at the Machine Shop studio in Hoboken, New Jersey, by Joey and Will Putney and released on the Ferret Music label. In late 2011, ''Born to Ruin'' was announced as the band's next release, written by Joey and Jeremy Comitas to be released by American label Melotov Records. The four songs comprising ''Born to Ruin: The Way Is Shut'' released in the fall of 2013.
