	Dave Follows Dave Follows (3 October 1941 – 17 October 2003) was a British cartoonist best known for his comic strip ''Creature Feature''. Career Follows was born in Stafford, Staffordshire, England. His first published cartoon was for the ''Stafford Advertiser'' in 1971. His animal comic strip ''The Creature Feature'' appeared weekly in the ''Sunday Times'' supplement, ''Funday Times'', from 1990 to 2006. ''The Creature Feature'' was also syndicated in over 30 newspapers throughout the world. Follows supplied other strips for newspapers including the North Staffordshire's '' The Sentinel'', where his strip '' May un Mar Lady'' appeared daily from 8 July 1985 to 3 October 2003. It is republished in that newspaper under the title ''May Un Mar Lady Revisited''. When the British comic book ''Eagle'' was relaunched in the 1980s, Follows' designed the mascot character, Ernie the Eagle, and produced various weekly ''Ernie'' cartoons. 	Denis Follows Sir Denis Follows, CBE (13 April 1908 – 17 September 1983) was a British sports administrator. Between 1962 and 1973 he was Secretary of the Football Association (FA) and from 1977 was Chairman of the British Olympic Association. During his tenure as BOA Chairman, he was instrumental in ensuring that British competitors were able to choose whether or not to compete at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. The BOA had come under government pressure to withdraw the team in protest at the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Follows led the party to Moscow as Team Commandant. Follows was educated at the universities of London and Nottingham, and was President of the National Union of Students between 1931 and 1933. 	Geoffrey Follows Sir Charles Geoffry Shield Follows (4 July 1896 – 7 August 1983) was a British colonial administrator. He was the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong from 1946 to 1951. Early life and education Follows (whose second name is also spelt Geoffrey) was born in West Derby, Lancashire, to Arthur John Follows and Gertrude Lancaster. He was educated at Wellington School, Somerset and Imperial College London's Royal College of Science (then part of the University of London). Career Follows served as a Lieutenant in The King's (Liverpool Regiment) in the First World War. He joined the colonial service after the war. He was appointed to Seychelles from 1920 to 1925, Gibraltar from 1925 to 1927, Northern Rhodesia as the Chief Secretary from 1935 to 1945.
