Execve
In computing, exec is a functionality of an operating system that runs an executable file in the context of an already existing process (computing), process, replacing the previous executable. This act is also referred to as an overlay. It is especially important in Unix-like systems, although it exists elsewhere. Null-terminated String
In computer programming, a null-terminated string is a character string stored as an array containing the characters and terminated with a null character (a character with a value of zero, called NUL in this article).
