David Ellett
David George John Ellett (born March 30, 1964) is an American-born Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the NHL for 16 seasons. He was born in Cleveland because his father, Bob, was a minor-league hockey player playing for the Cleveland Barons of the AHL. Playing career Ellett was drafted 75th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft and then played the next two seasons at Bowling Green State University. In Ellett's second (and final) season at BGSU (1983–84), the Falcons won the NCAA Championship. When Ellett joined the Jets in 1984, he was a solid defenseman right away, scoring 38 points and garnering a +20 plus/minus rating. He became part of a solid Jets nucleus in the mid-to-late 80's that had the misfortune of playing in the same division as the dominant Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames. Neil Ellett
Neil Ellett (born in Richmond, British Columbia) was a Canadian soccer player who spent his career with Vancouver teams, including the Vancouver Whitecaps of the North American Soccer League. He also played for the member of the Canadian national and Olympic soccer teams. Club career Neil Ellett graduated from Burnaby North Secondary School. He began playing for Vancouver North Shore of the Pacific Coast Soccer League when he was seventeen. He played at least one season (1969–70) in the Pacific Coast Soccer League (when the league was amateur) with soccer club Croatia S.C. He also played for Vancouver Eintracht. Ellett was an original member of the Vancouver Whitecaps, playing with the team in 1974 and 1975. His only Whitecap goal was the first scored by the team in their history, on May 4, 1974 at Empire Stadium. Tazewell Ellett (January 1, 1856 – May 19, 1914) was a one-term United States House of Representatives, U.S. Representative from Virginia from 1895 to 1897. Biography Born in Richmond, Virginia in 1856, Ellett attended private schools in Richmond. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute at Lexington in 1876. He was graduated from the University of Virginia Law School in 1878 and immediately commenced practice in Richmond. He later served as member of the board of visitors of the Virginia Military Institute. In 1894, Ellett was elected as a Democratic Party (United States), Democrat to the Fifty-fourth Congress (March 4, 1895 – March 3, 1897) with 63.31% of the vote, defeating Republican J.W. Thomas Harlan Ellett
Thomas Harlan Ellett (September 2, 1880 – November 24, 1951) was an architect who practiced in New York City. Early life and education Harlan Ellett, as he was known in his youth, was born in 1880 and grew up in Sherman Township, Iowa, the son of Thomas Ely Ellett, a farmer, and his wife, Caroline Elizabeth Bake. According to one historian, the Ellett farm was in Sherman, Section 18, P.O. Red Oak, Iowa, "... a splendid farm of 250 acres, all in cultivation; good house, and a fine orchard of six acres." The father died in 1895, by which time the family had moved into town, to a house in Red Oak's third ward. In the fall of 1899, Ellett traveled to Chicago where his uncle Edwin H. Ronald Ellett (born 1942) is a retired American football coach. Early life and playing career Ronald Ellett was born in 1942 in Indiana, the son of H. Archie Ellett and Frances Elizabeth Ellett. Ellett's grandfather was James Fred Ellett, the son of Willis A. Gorman Ellett. Willis was the son of David Ellett whose father was Edward Ellett, Sr. the founder of Ellettsville, Indiana. Ellett came from a successful high school football program. Jamaica High School was undefeated when he was a senior in 1959. Ellett earned 13 letters at Jamaica, four in baseball and three each in football, basketball and track. The Fritzl case emerged in 2008, when a woman named Elisabeth Fritzl (born 6 April 1966) told police in the town of Amstetten, Lower Austria, Austria, that she had been held captive for 24 years by her father, Josef Fritzl (born 9 April 1935). J. Fritzl had assaulted, sexually abused, and raped his daughter repeatedly during her imprisonment inside a concealed area in the cellar of the family home.
