Etty Lau Farrell
Etty Lau Farrell (born Etty Lau; December 10, 1974) is an Asian American vocalist, dancer and actress. She began working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, appearing in numerous music videos as well as nationally televised award shows. Etty was part of the original Pussycat Dolls, when the group, as a dance troupe, had a monthly residency at the Viper Room. In 1997, she toured with Jane’s Addiction on their "It’s my party tour", later dubbed the "Relapse Tour" where she met her future husband Perry Farrell. Etty's first major venture as a musician came in 2005 when she and Perry Farrell formed Satellite Party. Their debut album went in at #24 on the Billboard album chart. William Etty
William Etty (10 March 1787 – 13 November 1849) was an English artist best known for his history paintings containing nude figures. He was the first significant British painter of nudes and still lifes. Born in York, he left school at the age of 12 to become an apprentice printer in Hull. He completed his apprenticeship seven years later and moved to London, where in 1807 he joined the Royal Academy Schools. There he studied under Thomas Lawrence and trained by copying works by other artists. Etty earned respect at the Royal Academy of Arts for his ability to paint realistic flesh tones, but had little commercial or critical success in his first few years in London. Etty's '' Cleopatra's Arrival in Cilicia'', painted in 1821, featured numerous nudes and was exhibited to great acclaim. Esther (Etty) Hillesum (15 January 1914 – 30 November 1943) was the Dutch author of confessional letters and diaries which describe both her religious awakening and the persecutions of Jewish people in Amsterdam during the German occupation. In 1943, she was deported and murdered in Auschwitz concentration camp. Eti Lesmina Tantra (; born 14 October 1975), is an Indonesian badminton player of Chinese descent. She has represented Indonesia and the United States in international tournaments. Career Tantri who affiliate with Tangkas club, was selected to join the national team in 1993. She won her first title in 1997 India Open in the women's doubles partnered with Cynthia Tuwankotta. Esther "Ettie" Steinberg (11 January 1914 – 4 September 1942; married name Ettie Gluck) was one of only a few Irish Jews killed in the Holocaust in the second World War. Early life Steinberg was born to Aaron Hirsh Steinberg and Bertha Roth, on 11 January 1914, in Veretsky, Austria-Hungary; the family moved to Dublin in 1925. Her family included six siblings and lived at 28 Raymond Terrace, near the South Circular Road in Dublin. They were educated in St Catherine's School in Donore Avenue. Life Steinberg worked as a seamstress in Dublin where she met and married Belgian Vogtjeck Gluck in Greenville Hall synagogue in Dublin on 22 July 1937. The couple returned to his home in Antwerp. Etty Bay is a relatively sheltered bay in Far North Queensland with a long beach in the far north of the Australian state of Queensland. The beach is by road from the township of Innisfail, 20 minutes drive from Paronella Park and from the Bruce Highway. William Etty ( – 1734) was an English architect and craftsman, best known for designing Holy Trinity Church, Leeds and (probably) Holy Trinity Church, Sunderland. Life and work He was the son of John Etty of York ( – 1708), also an architect and craftsman, to whom there is a monument in All Saints', North Street. William Etty's first known building was the Moot Hall, Leeds (1710, demolished in 1825). Holy Trinity, Sunderland, followed in 1719 and Holy Trinity Church, Leeds, in 1722–7 (the steeple is a later addition by R D Chantrell). He also worked at John Vanbrugh's Castle Howard from 1701 onwards and at Seaton Delaval Hall from 1719.
