Gérard Errera
Gérard Paul Errera (born 30 October 1943) is a French diplomat and serves as an advisor to a number of American, Chinese and French international firms. Early life and education Gérard Errera comes from a Jewish family, and was born in Brive-la-Gaillarde, in what was, during World War II, France's Free Zone. The Erreras were hidden and saved by a French family during the German occupation under the Vichy regime. Right after the war, he moved to Paris where he completed his education, and graduated from two French elite institutions, L'Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA). Nicolas Errèra
Nicolas Errèra (born 21 May 1967) is a French composer and musician working all over the world. Co-founder of innovatives electronics groups Grand Popo Football Club and Rouge Rouge, he also composes soundtracks for films and television. Early life Nicolas Errèra comes from a family of artists. An only child, his father is a playwright and his mother a set designer. He was born in Paris. He majored in science to attain his baccalaureate and also studied philosophy. When he was a teenager he joined the group of the English theatre director Peter Brook, under whom he featured in 3 plays. Alongside his studies he took lessons in piano and composing at the École normale de musique de Paris, studying under Serge Petigirard (piano) and Max Deutsch (composing). Rosa Errera
Rosa Errera (13 July 1864 – 13 February 1946) was an Italian writer, translator, and teacher. Her most well known work, published in 1921, was about the poet Dante Alighieri. Biography Errera was born in Venice on July 13, 1864 to Cesare, a Jew of Spanish origin, and to Luigia Fano, from Mantua, Italy. Her father was a stockbroker who moved the family from Venice to Trieste after a serious financial downturn. After his death, the remaining family returned to Venice to live in the home of a paternal uncle who, despite having five children of his own, took in Rosa and her three siblings, Emilia (1866–1901), Carlo (1867-1936), and Anna Errera (1870-1940). Emilia Errera (1866–1901) was an Italian teacher and writer who specialized in historical and literary essays and critiques, notably about Charles Dickens. Biography Emilia, was born on 15 May 1866 in Trieste, Italy to a Jewish family. Her parents were Cesare, a Venetian, and mother Luigia Fano from Mantua. Her siblings included writer Rosa Errera (1864-1946), brother Carlo Errera (1867-1936), and sister Anna Errera (1870-1940). Emilia graduated teacher training in Venice and attended the Institute of Magisterium in Florence, where her instructors included P. Abraham Léo Errera (4 September 1858 in Laeken – 6 August 1905 in Brussels) was a Belgian botanist, known for his research in the field of plant physiology. He worked at the Free University of Brussels in 1883 as an associate and in 1890 a full professor of botany. In addition, he was actively involved in Jewish affairs. Alberto Israel Errera ( el, Αλβέρτος Ερρέρα, 15 January 1913 – August 1944) was a Greek-Jewish officer and a member of the anti-Nazi resistance. He was a member of the '' Sonderkommando'' in Auschwitz-Birkenau from May to August 1944. He took part in the preparation of the ''Sonderkommando'' Uprising of 1944. He is one of the possible authors of the ''Sonderkommando'' photographs. Errera died in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Biography Errera was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Before the war, he was a soldier in the Hellenic Army, where he was promoted to officer and achieved the rank of captain. He married a woman called Matthildi from Larissa, where he settled and owned a supermarket. He joined the partisans and the Greek People's Liberation Army during the German occupation of Greece, working as a food supplier. He took the Christian name Alex (Alekos) Michaelides, or, according to his nephew, Alexandros Alexandris.

Alfred Errera
Alfred Errera (1886 – 1960) was a Belgian mathematician. Errera studied at the Université libre de Bruxelles, where he received his Ph.D. in 1921 with dissertation ''Du coloriage des cartes et de quelques questions d'analysis situs''. In his dissertation he introduced what is now called the Errera graph, which is a counterexample to the validity of the alleged proof of the four color theorem by Alfred Kempe. From 1928 to 1956 he was a professor at the Université libre de Bruxelles. He did research on topology, especially the theory of polyhedra and the Jordan curve theorem. With Théophile Lepage he conducted a seminar on analysis at the University of Brussels. During World War I, he worked on the acoustic source localization of artillery fire and from 1921 to 1938 taught courses on this subject at the Royal Military Academy. Isabella or Isabelle Alice Errera (née Goldschmidt; 5 April 1869 - 23 June 1929) was a Belgian art historian specializing in textiles. Life Isabelle Goldschmidt was born in Florence in 1869. Her parents were Isaac "John" Goldschmidt and Sophie Franchetti. Her uncle Giulio Franchetti was a textile collector, whose collection is partly kept at the Bargello in Florence and was the subject of an exhibition at the Palazzo Pretorio in Prato in 1981. Another uncle was politician and writer Baron Leopoldo Franchetti. In 1870, her sister Élena Goldschmidt-Franchetti was born in Florence as well. She would become famous as the writer Jean Dornis.
