Elovo
Elovo ( mk, Елово) is a village in the municipality of Studeničani, North Macedonia. History The village is mentioned in historical records since the 13th century CE. The inhabitants of the village appear to have been in conflict with protosebastos Pribo Vlastelin, who was a Bulgarian feudal landowner in the area between Skopje and Veles. The villagers who seem to have been in relations of feudal servitude with Vlastelin came into open conflict with him and their parish priest Dragomir. During the conflict the Metropolitan of Skopje Jovan, removed Dragomir from Elovo and later defrocked him. During the great migration movements in Macedonia at the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th centuries, Slavic-speaking Muslims left the Debar area for the central regions of Macedonia and settled in villages such as Elovo located in the Skopje area. Leonhard Schultze-Jena (full name: Leonhard Sigmund Friedrich Kuno Klaus Schultze-Jena; born May 28, 1872 in Jena; died March 28, 1955 in Marburg) was a German explorer, zoologist, and anthropologist known for his explorations of German Southwest Africa and New Guinea, as well as for his studies on Mesoamerican languages. The title of ''protosebastos'' ( el, πρωτοσέβαστος, ''prōtosébastos'', "first ''sebastos''") was a high Byzantine court title created by Emperor Alexios I Komnenos. History Although the title first appears in a document of 1049, where Domenico I Contarini, the Doge of Venice, uses it alongside the title of ''patrikios'' to refer to himself, it is commonly accepted that it was created by Emperor Alexios I Komnenos ().
