Eloquence (from French ''eloquence'' from Latin ''eloquentia'') is fluent, elegant, persuasive, and forceful speech, persuading an audience. Eloquence is both a natural talent and improved by knowledge of language, study of a specific subject to be addressed, philosophy, rationale and ability to form a persuasive set of tenets within a presentation. Eloquence (Bill Evans Album)
''Eloquence'' is an album composed of songs played by jazz musicians Bill Evans and Eddie Gomez between the years of 1973 and 1975. It was released posthumously in 1982 on Fantasy Records. Background and reception The album consists of four duets with Eddie Gomez and four solo pieces. Four songs ("Gone With The Wind", "Saudade Do Brasil", "All Of You" and "Since We Met") and the medley ("But Not For Me" / "Isn't It Romantic" / "The Opener") were recorded while rehearsing in the Fantasy Records studio in Berkeley in 1974–75. The last piece is a brief medley of two Cy Coleman tunes: "When In Rome" and "It Amazes Me". They were recorded live in 1973 at one of Evans's favorite West Coast venues, Shelly's Manne-Hole jazz club in Hollywood. The remaining songs, "In A Sentimental Mood" and "But Beautiful" were recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1975. Erik Möller (born 1979) is a German freelance journalist, software developer, author, and former deputy director of the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF), based in San Francisco. Möller additionally works as a web designer and previously managed his own web hosting service, myoo.de. As of 2022, he was VP of Engineering at the Freedom of the Press Foundation. Published work Möller is the author of the book ' ("The secret media revolution: How weblogs, wikis and free software change the world"). In the book, Möller discusses the development of a journalistic equivalent to the open-source movement in citizen media and blogging, though pointing out that most blogs do not compete with mainstream media.
