Diggnation
''Diggnation'' was a weekly humor video podcast hosted by Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht. Broadcast on Revision3, the first episode aired on July 1, 2005 and the last episode on December 30, 2011. Producer David Prager suggested naming the ''Digg'' website "''Diggnation''". Rose decided on the simpler ''Digg'' for the website and ''Diggnation'' for the podcast. ''Diggnation'' usually starts with Rose and Albrecht reviewing beverages. These include beer, tea, coffee, and hard liquors such vodka or whisky. The hosts continue consuming the beverages for the rest of the show. Rose and Albrecht then discuss Digg stories from the previous week, with off-topic banter with each other and with Prager and camera operator Glenn McElhose. The intro sequence to the podcast was created by Eden Soto in collaboration with Prager. It was developed over a three month period, according to Eden Soto's website. Kevin Rose
Kevin Rose is an American Internet entrepreneur who co-founded Revision3, Digg, Pownce, and Milk. He also served as production assistant and co-host at TechTV's ''The Screen Savers''. From 2012 to 2015, he was a venture partner at GV. Early life and education Rose was born in California and lived in Oregon before his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he spent most of his childhood. He became an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Rose transferred to Southeast Career Technical Academy for high school (formerly known as Vo-Tech High School) in Las Vegas in 1992. He then attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, majored in computer science but dropped out in 1998. Career Rose worked for two dot-com startups through CMGI. Alexander Jennings Albrecht (born August 14, 1976) is an American television personality, actor and podcaster. He is known for co-hosting the former G4techTV television program ''The Screen Savers'', an hour-long computer and technology variety show, as well as the weekly podcast ''Diggnation'' and the weekday podcast ''The Totally Rad Show'' on the Revision3 network. On July 15, 2008, he released his new podcast/website ''Project Lore'', all about ''World of Warcraft''. Revision3 was a San Francisco-based multi-channel television network that created, produced and distributed streaming television shows on niche topics. Founded in 2005, it operated as a subsidiary of Discovery Digital Networks since 2012. The network produced technology and gaming oriented programming in tandem with traditional comedic, political, DIY, and movie-related content. Digg, stylized in lowercase as digg, is an American news aggregator with a curated front page, aiming to select stories specifically for the Internet audience such as science, trending political issues, and viral Internet issues. It was launched in its current form on July 31, 2012, with support for sharing content to other social platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. David Prager
David Lawrence Prager (born January 17, 1977) is one of the co-founders and Vice President of Special Projects for Revision3. He has also worked for ZDTV, TechTV, and G4. Early life Prager graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a degree in Communication and Media Studies. Career Prager's first job after school was as a network administrator for the software company, Bowne Litigation Solutions based in San Antonio, Texas. Prager was hired by ZDTV in 1999. He worked as a broadcast television producer, technology writer, and journalist in his time with ZDTV and TechTV. Prager remained as a segment producer for the nightly G4techTV technology show ''The Screen Savers''. Later, the show would switch gears, becoming the variety show ''Attack of the Show!''.
