Dihedral Synchro-helix
The dihedral synchro-helix actuation door system is a type of door with a hinge mechanism which allows the doors to rotate 90° by sweeping outwards and upwards at the hinge. It was designed and developed by Christian von Koenigsegg on behalf of high-performance sports cars manufacturer, Koenigsegg Automotive AB. It was conceived as revolutionary when it made its debut on the CC prototype (1994–2000). The first production car to be fitted with these doors was the Koenigsegg CC8S (2002–2003). The door's primary intention was to open high enough to avoid most curbs, but low enough to avoid garage ceilings. It also minimizes the space taken at the side of the car while opening the door, which makes it easier to open the doors while being parked on tight spaces with another parked car at the side. Koenigsegg CC
The Koenigsegg CC was the prototype for the CC8S sports car made by the Swedish automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg. Overview Work on the car started in 1994. Koenigsegg wanted to build a sports car that could exceed the standards set by the McLaren F1 at the time, and achieve speeds over the 386 km/h (240 mph) set by the F1 in 1997. The design of the CC was inspired by the McLaren F1 along with the Ferrari F40. The car, initially painted silver, was then painted black when the new dihedral helix synchro actuation doors were fitted, and finally was painted its current colour. Other two prototypes included the white European spec prototype which was produced in 2000 and the other was a pre-production version of the CC8S. The Koenigsegg CC8S is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Swedish automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg. It was the company's first production automobile and the first production car to use the company's trademark dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors. The Koenigsegg Regera is a limited production, plug-in hybrid grand touring sports car manufactured by Swedish automotive manufacturer Koenigsegg. It was unveiled at the March 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The name Regera is a Swedish verb, meaning "to reign" or "to rule." Koenigsegg planned to produce only 80 units of the car, many of which were sold upon unveiling, though 84 Regera were actually constructed. The Regera was developed and designed to be a more practical, luxurious, grand touring alternative to the rest of Koenigsegg's lightweight sports car lineup; initially the Agera and currently the Jesko. The Koenigsegg CCR is a Mid-engine design, mid-engine sports car manufactured by Koenigsegg and the successor to the company's previous offering, the Koenigsegg CC8S, CC8S. Overview Debuting at the March Geneva Auto Show#2004, 2004 Geneva Auto Show, the CCR was the most powerful version of the Koenigsegg CC range cars at the time. The Koenigsegg Jesko is a limited production mid-engine sports car produced by Swedish automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg. Introduced at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the car succeeds the Agera. The name ''Jesko'' is a tribute to the company founder's father, Jesko von Koenigsegg. Specifications Engine The engine is a development of the 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine used in the Agera. It has four valves per cylinder each with a bore and stroke of and a compression ratio of 8.6:1.
