Defense Industry Of Ukraine
The defense industry of Ukraine is a strategically important sector and a large employer in Ukraine. After working for several decades mostly for the arms export markets, in 2014 it has moved significantly into increased Ukrainian military procurement since the start of the war in Donbas. Prior to 2014, Ukraine's export-oriented arms industry had reached the status of world's 4th largest arms exporter in 2012. Since the start of the War in Donbas, Ukraine's military industry has focused more on its internal arms market and as a result slipped to the 9th spot among top global arms exporters by 2015, 11th spot by 2018 and the 12th spot among global arms exporters by 2019. In 2019 the main importers of Ukrainian weapons were India, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. History Ukraine's defense industry was a major part of the Soviet defense industry, responsible for 17% of Soviet defense production and 25% of its scientific research. Some Soviet ICBMs were actually built at the Yuzhmash pla ...

During loading, the cartridge is inserted into the breech opening with the bolt open. Barrel locking is achieved through a rotating bolt. The floating barrel is in free recoil when the bullet flies out. Recoil is suppressed due to the muzzle brake, the effect of a recoil isolator, an elastic multilayer shoulder pad, and a balanced weight. The rifle is suitable for shooting resting both on the right and left shoulders. It has a height-adjustable cheek rest that can be installed on the right or on the left side. The rifle has a bipod and an adjustable rear support, which allows for adjustment to the shooter's needs. Snipex M
Snipex M is a long-range single-shot 12.7mm rifle with automatic case ejection. Developed by XADO, XADO-Holding Ltd. company (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Design The Snipex М rifle is available in two versions. Snipex М75 has a barrel length of 750 mm, and Snipex М100 — a barrel length of 1,000 mm. Both versions are designed taking into account all the requirements for weapons for high-precision shooting. The rifles have the bullpup design. The barrel is fully open, has eight right grooves with a 15-inch twist as well as cannelures. Equipped with a muzzle brake. Barrel locking is achieved through a rotating bolt. Thirteen bolt lugs are disposed in three rows and can rotate by 60 degrees, which ensures rigid locking of the barrel. Empty cases are ejected automatically when pulling the bolt back. The case ejection process is slightly delayed, which allows the bullet to leave the barrel with the bolt still fully closed. During this time, the maximum amount of energy is transferr ...

Augmented Reality
Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated content. The content can span multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory. AR can be defined as a system that incorporates three basic features: a combination of real and virtual worlds, real-time interaction, and accurate 3D registration of virtual and real objects. The overlaid sensory information can be constructive (i.e. additive to the natural environment), or destructive (i.e. masking of the natural environment). This experience is seamlessly interwoven with the physical world such that it is perceived as an immersive aspect of the real environment. In this way, augmented reality alters one's ongoing perception of a real-world environment, whereas virtual reality completely replaces the user's real-world environment with a simulated one. Augmented reality is largely synonymous with mixed reality. There is also overlap ...

Baykar Bayraktar Kızılelma
The Baykar Bayraktar Kızılelma (English: ''Red Apple'') is a jet-powered, single-engine, low-observable, carrier-capable unmanned combat aerial vehicle, currently in development by Turkish defence company Baykar. The aircraft is being developed as part of Project MIUS ( tr, Muharip İnsansız Uçak Sistemi; English: ''Combatant Unmanned Aircraft System''). A future version (''Kızılelma-B'') will be supersonic. Baykar CTO Selçuk Bayraktar had initially announced that the Kızılelma was expected to make its maiden flight in 2023, adding that a jet-powered UCAV was a ''12-year-long dream.'' However, the Kızılelma was able to complete its first flight ahead of the expected date, on 14 December 2022. Development The first conceptual studies for Bayraktar MIUS started in 2013. The most important development regarding the project took place on 20 July 2021. On this date, the first design images and information about the characteristics of the aircraft were shared with th ...

Gas Turbine
A gas turbine, also called a combustion turbine, is a type of continuous flow internal combustion engine. The main parts common to all gas turbine engines form the power-producing part (known as the gas generator or core) and are, in the direction of flow: * a rotating gas compressor * a combustor * a compressor-driving turbine. Additional components have to be added to the gas generator to suit its application. Common to all is an air inlet but with different configurations to suit the requirements of marine use, land use or flight at speeds varying from stationary to supersonic. A propelling nozzle is added to produce thrust for flight. An extra turbine is added to drive a propeller (turboprop) or ducted fan (turbofan) to reduce fuel consumption (by increasing propulsive efficiency) at subsonic flight speeds. An extra turbine is also required to drive a helicopter rotor or land-vehicle transmission (turboshaft), marine propeller or electrical generator (power turbine). Greater ...
