Circuit (political Division)
A circuit ( or ) was a history of the administrative divisions of China before 1912, historical political division of China and is a historical and modern administrative divisions of Japan, administrative unit in Japan. The primary level of administrative divisions of Korea (other), administrative division of Korea under the Joseon and in modern North Korea, North and South Korea employs the same Hanja, Chinese character as the Chinese and Japanese divisions but, because of its relatively greater importance, is usually translated as province instead. China Circuits originated in China during the Han dynasty and were used as a lower-tier administrative division, comparable to the Counties of the People's Republic of China#History, county (, also translated as "districts"). The Tang dynasty (, ; zh, t= ), or Tang Empire, was an Dynasties in Chinese history, imperial dynasty of China that ruled from 618 to 907 AD, with an Zhou dynasty (690–705), interregnum between 690 and 705.
