Channel 70
Channel 70 was removed from television use in 1983, but was formerly used by television stations in North America which broadcast on 806-812 MHz. In the United States, channels 70-83 served primarily as a "translator band" containing repeater transmitters to fill gaps in coverage for existing stations. Many are now defunct, the rest were to have been moved to lower frequencies: * KTTC (NBC Rochester, Minnesota) licenses to operate repeaters K70DR Blue Earth and K79BK Fairmont, Minnesota (channels 70 and 79 respectively) were renewed by the US Federal Communications Commission in 1999 but were off the air by the end of 2011. * NTIA had listed K70DR and K70FL (both on analog channel 70) among the LPTV operations to be unaffected by the 2009 US ATSC digital television transition, based on license information current as of 2008. Rimouski ( ) is a city in Quebec, Canada. Rimouski is located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, at the mouth of the Rimouski River. It has a population of 48,935 (as of 2021). Rimouski is the site of Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR), the Cégep de Rimouski (which includes the Institut maritime du Québec) and the Music Conservatory. KATU (channel 2) is a television station in Portland, Oregon, United States, affiliated with ABC. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside La Grande–licensed Univision affiliate KUNP (channel 16). Both stations share studios on NE Sandy Boulevard in Portland, while KATU's transmitter is located in the Sylvan-Highlands section of the city. KATU went on the air as the fourth commercial station in Portland in 1962. It was built by Fisher Broadcasting Company, later Fisher Communications, and originally served as an independent station before joining ABC in 1964. Clarendon, Texas
Clarendon is a city in Donley County, Texas, United States. Its population was 2,026 at the 2010 census. The county seat of Donley County, Clarendon is located on U.S. Highway 287 in the Texas Panhandle, east of Amarillo. History Clarendon, established in 1878, was one of the three original Panhandle settlements, the other two being Mobeetie and Tascosa. Clarendon was relocated after its original location was bypassed by the Fort Worth and Denver Railway. The town founder was a Methodist clergyman, L.H. Carhart, who envisioned a "sobriety settlement" in contrast to typical boomtowns of that era. Clarendon acquired the sobriquet "Saints Roost" from local cowboys, hence the unusual name of the Clarendon museum, the Saints' Roost Museum. Childress ( ) (established 1887; incorporated 1890) is a city in Childress County, Texas, United States. The population was 6,905 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Childress County. The city and county were named in honor of George Campbell Childress, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, who was the principal author of the Texas Declaration of Independence. Canadian, Texas
Canadian is a city in, and the county seat of, Hemphill County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,649 at the 2010 census, up from 2,233 in 2000. It is named for the nearby Canadian River, a tributary of the Arkansas River. Incorporated in 1908, Canadian is sometimes called "the oasis of the High Plains". Rivière-du-Loup
Rivière-du-Loup (; 2021 population 20,118) is a small city on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec. The city is the seat for the Rivière-du-Loup Regional County Municipality and the judicial district of Kamouraska. Its one of the largest cities in Bas-Saint-Laurent. History The city was named after the nearby river, whose name means ''Wolf's River'' in French. This name may have come from a native tribe known as "Les Loups" ("The Wolves") or from the many seals, known in French as ''loup-marin'' (sea wolves), once found at the river's mouth. Rivière-du-Loup was established in 1673 as the seigneurie of Sieur Charles-Aubert de la Chesnaye.
