Praça Amílcar Cabral, also popularly known as Praça Nova (Portuguese for "new square"), is an important square of the city of Mindelo, São Vicente, Cape Verde. The territory of Cape Verde is divided into 22 ''concelhos'' (municipalities), and subdivided into 32 ''freguesias'' (equivalent to civil parish).
