''Chained'' is a 1934 American drama (film and television), drama film directed by Clarence Brown and starring Joan Crawford and Clark Gable with supporting performances by Otto Kruger, Stuart Erwin, Una O'Connor (actress), Una O'Connor and Akim Tamiroff. The screenplay was written by John Lee Mahin, Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich based upon a story by Edgar Selwyn. Ward Bond and Mickey Rooney appear briefly in uncredited roles. Richard (Kruger), a shipping magnate, asks his wife for a divorce so he can marry his secretary (Crawford). The wife refuses and Diane, who loves him deeply, offers to become his mistress. Crystal Eyes
Crystal Eyes is a Swedish power metal band formed in 1992. Singer, guitarist and songwriter Mikael Dahl is the only constant member in their line-up. It was announced in 2009 that vocalist Søren Nico Adamsen would be leaving the band and that Mikael Dahl would be resuming vocal duties. In 2012, guitarist Paul Petterson left the band and was replaced by former guitarist Nicolas Karlsson. Rare Earth was an American rock band from Detroit, Michigan. According to ''Louder'', "Rare Earth’s music straddles genres and defies categorisation, slipping seamlessly between the two seemingly disparate worlds of classic rock and R&B." The band was signed to Motown's Rare Earth record label. Although not the first white band signed to Motown, Rare Earth was the first big hit-making act signed by Motown that consisted only of white members. "Chained" is a song by English indie pop group The xx, released on 7 August 2012 by Young Turks (record label), Young Turks. It was the second single (music), single from their 2012 album ''Coexist (album), Coexist''. The song was produced by percussionist Jamie xx and written by guitarist Romy Madley Croft and bassist Oliver Sim. "Chained" charted at number 19 in Belgium and received positive reviews from music critics, who complimented Jamie xx's minimalist production and the vocal interplay between Croft and Sim. Writing and recording "Chained" was one of the first songs written for ''Coexist (album), Coexist''.
