Cbj (publisher)
cbj is a German publisher of children's literature based in Munich. It was founded in 1968 under the name "C. Bertelsmann Jugendbuchverlag" (C. Bertelsmann Youth book publishing) and is still an independent part of the Random House Publishing Group. cbj publishes works by German and international authors. The publisher was made known by the book series "The Famous Five" by Enid Blyton, among others. In 2008, a part of the program was redistributed in the newly founded cbt publishing. History The history of cbj dates back to the 19th century. In 1835, Carl Bertelsmann founded C. Bertelsmann Publishing, the whose program also included children's books. World Book Day, also known as World Book and Copyright Day or International Day of the Book, is an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading, publishing, and copyright. Robert Louis Stevenson (born Robert Lewis Balfour Stevenson; 13 November 1850 – 3 December 1894) was a Scottish novelist, essayist, poet and travel writer. Tony M. DiTerlizzi (born September 6, 1969) is an American fantasy artist, children's book creator, and motion picture producer. In the gaming industry, he is best known for his work in the collectible card game ''Magic: The Gathering'' and on the ''Planescape'' product line for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' role-playing game. Markus Zusak (born 23 June 1975) is an Australian writer with Austrian and German roots.
