Juan José Carbó
Juan José Carbó Gatignol (March 19, 1927 – May 15, 2010) was a Spanish cartoonist and one of the great masters of Spanish comics, who won the 2005 Universidad de Alicante "premio Notario del Humor" ("Notary of Humor Award"), and signed all his Illustrations with his pseudonym, Carbó. Carbó drew in the mediums of newspapers, journals, children's magazines and even an adult magazine called ''Reseo'' (''Cattle Magazine''). Early life and education Juan José Carbó Gatignol, known primarily by his autographed signature of Carbó on his artwork, was born in Sueca, Spain on March 19, 1927. From an early age, he expressed an interest in art and received tutelage from his art teacher Alfredo Carlos, who also was a painter. Bernardo Carbo (born August 5, 1947) is an American former outfielder and designated hitter who played from through for the Cincinnati Reds (1969–72), St. Louis Cardinals (1972–73, 1979–80), Boston Red Sox (1974–76, 1977–78), Milwaukee Brewers (1976), Cleveland Indians (1978) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1980). Willy Carbo (born 14 August 1959 in Utrecht, Netherlands) is a retired Dutch footballer who played as a forward. Club career He made his professional debut and scored the first goal for hometown club FC Utrecht in the game against Go Ahead Eagles on 16 March 1980. He moved abroad to play in Belgium for Club Brugge, only to be loaned to Feyenoord in the second half of the season and winning the Dutch Eredivisie in a team containing Johan Cruyff and Ruud Gullit. Chuck Carbo
Hayward "Chuck" Carbo (January 11, 1926 – July 11, 2008) was an American R&B singer, best known for his time as a vocalist in the New Orleans group The Spiders. Chuck Carbo was born in Houma, Louisiana, then moved with his family to the Zion City neighborhood of New Orleans in the early 1930s. Chuck and brother Leonard "Chick" Carbo sang in the choir at their minister father's church. Among their influences were the Golden Gate Quartet and the King Cole Trio. The brothers served in the Coast Guard during World II. After the war the brothers became affiliated with the Zion City Harmonizers gospel quartet. Taking the name the Delta Southernaires, the off-shoot group performed on Sunday mornings on WWEZ. Carbó is the municipal seat of Carbó Municipality of the state of Sonora, Mexico. History The founding dates from 1888, when the main railroad in Sonora began to be constructed.
