Capsula are a Bilbao, Spain-based band from Buenos Aires, Argentina formed in 1998 by Martin L Guevara and Cyborg Coni Duchess. Their name is the Spanish word for capsule and derives from the David Bowie song "Space Oddity". Their album '' Solar Secrets'' (2013), produced by Tony Visconti, was described by ''Rolling Stone'' as "garage-glam heaven on a platter" and it called them "a dynamic compression of the Who, the Cramps and Sonic Youth in a high tide of psychedelia." History 1997–2002: Early career in Latin America: Sublime, Yudoka, Capsula. Berlin. Influenced as much by 1960s South American psychedelic rock as by garage rock, they started in Argentina in 1998. Without an album out yet, they toured in Europe playing shows in Madrid, Toledo, Vitoria, Pamplona, Bilbao and London at Dublin Castle and Bull'n'Gate. Tony Visconti
Anthony Edward Visconti (born April 24, 1944) is an American record producer, musician and singer. Since the late 1960s, he has worked with an array of performers. His first hit single was T. Rex's " Ride a White Swan" in 1970, the first of many hits in collaboration with Marc Bolan. Visconti's lengthiest involvement was with David Bowie: intermittently from the production and arrangement of Bowie's 1968 single "In the Heat of the Morning" / "London Bye Ta-Ta" to his final album ''Blackstar'' in 2016, Visconti produced and occasionally performed on many of Bowie's albums. Dublin Castle, Camden
The Dublin Castle is a pub and live music venue in Camden Town, London. It was built for Irish navvies working on railways in London, but gained prominence as a venue in the late 1970s after the band Madness established a live reputation there. Subsequently, it was an important venue in the early stages of several bands' careers and contributed to the Britpop musical genre. Amy Winehouse was a regular visitor to the pub. Richard Hell and the Voidoids were an American punk rock band, formed in New York City in 1976 and fronted by Richard Hell, a former member of the Neon Boys, Television (band), Television and the Heartbreakers. History Kentucky-born Richard Hell, Richard Meyers moved to New York City after dropping out of high school in 1966, aspiring to become a poet. He and his best friend from high school, Tom Verlaine, Tom Miller, founded the rock band the Neon Boys which became Television (band), Television in 1973. Ivan Julian (born June 26, 1955) is a guitarist, bassist and founding member of Richard Hell and the Voidoids and Lovelies. He has also performed with the Isley Brothers, The Clash, Matthew Sweet, The Bongos, Richard Barone, and Shriekback. Northern Star Records was a UK based record label, founded by Scott Causer and Andy Oliver in 2005. The label launched in March 2006 with their first release, the double CD compilation album, ''Psychedelica Vol. 1''.
