Brar () is a Jat clan from the Punjab region. Jagbir Singh Brar
Jagbir Singh Brar is an Indian politician from the state of Punjab. He is a member of Shiromani Akali Dal. Brar won the seat of Jalandhar Cantt Assembly Constituency in the 2007 Punjab Legislative Assembly elections. He is also former President of DCC Jalandhar. Brar served as a Block development panchayat officer before entering politics. Brar was appointed Chairman of Punjab Water Resources Management and Development Corporation in 2019 by the Punjab Government. Personal life Brar is originally from Sri Muktsar Sahib but currently resides in Jalandhar with his family. He did his schooling from Muktsar and then went to Patiala for higher education. Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale (; born Jarnail Singh Brar; 2 June 1947– 6 June 1984) was a militant leader of the Sikh organization Damdami Taksal. He was not an advocate of Khalistan. Sham Singh Attariwala
Sham Singh Attariwala (1790 – 10 February 1846) was a general of the Sikh Empire. He was born in the 1790s in the town of Attari (a few kilometres from the border of Indian and Pakistan Punjab in India), Amritsar, in the Majha region of Panjab, India. As a child he was educated in Gurmukhi and Persian. When Ranjit singh became the Maharaja of Punjab, he got Attariwala's services at his disposal. Harcharan Singh Brar (21 January 1922 – 6 September 2009) was an Indian politician belonging to the Punjab unit of Indian National Congress.
