Le Bocage bourbonnais is a small French natural region, west of the Allier department in Auvergne (region), Auvergne. Its name stems from the ancient province of Bourbonnais. Situation Le bocage lies in the Bourbonnais region, Bourbonnais natural region, west of the Allier (river), Allier and Cher (river), Cher rivers, around Cosne-d'Allier and Bourbon-l'Archambault. Agonges
Agonges () is a commune in the Allier department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of central France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Agongeois'' or ''Agongeoises''. Geography Agonges is located some 15 km north-west of Moulins and 50 km south of Nevers. It can be accessed by several roads: the D58 from Saint-Menoux in the south passes through the village and continues north, the D133 comes from the D953 in the south-west to the village and continues north-east to Bagneux, the D54 comes from Franchesse in the north-west to the village then continues east to join the D13, the D139 comes from Couzon in the north to join the D54 in the commune, and the D13 passes through the north-eastern corner of the commune. Sologne (; ) is a natural region in Centre-Val de Loire, France, extending over portions of the departements of Loiret, Loir-et-Cher and Cher. Its area is about . The Limagne () is large plain in the Auvergne region of France in the valley of the Allier river, on the edge of the Massif Central. It lies entirely within the ''département'' of Puy-de-Dôme. The term is sometimes used to include this, and three other less extensive plains, that lie along the valley of the Allier, in which case the first is known as ''Grande Limagne'' to distinguish it from the others. Bourbon-l'Archambault is a spa town and a commune in the Allier department in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in central France. It is the place of origin of the House of Bourbon. Population Personalities In 1681, Louise Marie Anne de Bourbon, ''Mademoiselle de Tours'' - the third daughter of Louis XIV and his mistress Françoise-Athénaise, Madame de Montespan - died there at the age of six.
