Big Beautiful Woman
"Big Beautiful Woman" (commonly abbreviated as BBW) is a euphemism for an overweight woman. Meaning and usage The terms "Big Beautiful Women" and "BBW" were coined by Carole Shaw in 1979, when she launched ''BBW Magazine'', a fashion and lifestyle magazine for " plus-size" women. BBW Magazine trademarked the term Big Beautiful Woman, which was later transferred to Dimensions Magazine. Although "BBW" may have been first used in the context of BBW Magazine, the term's usage spread over the years. It has reached the point that even women who have never heard of the magazine have begun to refer to themselves as "BBWs". The abbreviation BBW can often be found used in personal ads, online dating services, and pornography denoting an identification with (or preference for) such women, and is also used to denote events specifically targeted to such women, and persons interested in them, such as specific gathering nights in dance clubs, restaurants, and fashion stores and shows. Banana Bacterial Wilt
Banana Xanthomonas Wilt (BXW), or banana bacterial wilt (BBW) or enset wilt is a bacterial disease caused by ''Xanthomonas campestris'' pv. ''musacearum''. After being originally identified on a close relative of banana, ''Ensete ventricosum'', in Ethiopia in the 1960s, BXW emanated in Uganda in 2001 affecting all types of banana cultivars. Since then BXW has been diagnosed in Central and East Africa including banana growing regions of: Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, and Uganda. Of the numerous diseases infecting bananas, BXW alongside banana bunchy top virus has been the most devastating in recent years. Global concern arose over the livelihoods of African banana farmers and the millions relying on bananas as a staple food when the disease was at its worst between the years 2001 and 2005. It was estimated that in Central Uganda from 2001 and 2004, there was a 30-52 % decrease in banana yield due to BXW infection. The livelihoods of more ...

Borel–Weil–Bott Theorem
In mathematics, the Borel–Weil–Bott theorem is a basic result in the representation theory of Lie groups, showing how a family of representations can be obtained from holomorphic sections of certain complex vector bundles, and, more generally, from higher sheaf cohomology groups associated to such bundles. It is built on the earlier Borel–Weil theorem of Armand Borel and André Weil, dealing just with the space of sections (the zeroth cohomology group), the extension to higher cohomology groups being provided by Raoul Bott. One can equivalently, through Serre's GAGA, view this as a result in complex algebraic geometry in the Zariski topology. Formulation Let be a semisimple Lie group or algebraic group over \mathbb C, and fix a maximal torus along with a Borel subgroup which contains . Let be an integral weight of ; defines in a natural way a one-dimensional representation of , by pulling back the representation on , where is the unipotent radical of . Since we can th ...

Brake-by-wire
In the automotive industry, brake-by-wire technology is the ability to control brakes through electrical means. It can be designed to supplement ordinary service brakes or it can be a standalone brake system. This technology is widely used on all hybrid and battery electric vehicles, including the Toyota Prius. Brake-by-wire is also common in the form of the electric park brake which is now widely used on mainstream vehicles. The technology supplements traditional components such as the pumps, hoses, fluids, belts and vacuum servos and master cylinders with electronic sensors and actuators. Drive-by-wire technology in automotive industry replaces the traditional mechanical and hydraulic control systems with electronic control systems using electromechanical actuators and human–machine interfaces such as pedal and steering feel emulators. Some x-by-wire technologies have been already installed on commercial vehicles such as steer-by-wire, and throttle-by-wire. Brake-by-wire tec ...

List Of North American Volkswagen Engines
This list of North American Volkswagen engines details internal combustion engines found in the Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles marques, as sold in the North American markets.ETKA Volkswagen Group engines are not widely known by "engine families" in the same way some other manufacturers do. VW Group engines are commonly known by the type of fuel they use, their displacement, and their rated motive power output. VW Group ''does'' have names of ''engine series'', and individual engines are identified by an "ID code" (early codes were one or two letters/numbers, later IDs were generally three letters, and their very latest engines now use four letters) - but they have been known to apply many different ID codes to seemingly identical engines. Diesel engines Indirect injection 4-cylinder D Volkswagen's inline-four-cylinder diesel engine (D) started out life as the gasoline-fueled EA827 series.
