Robert Theron Brockman (May 28, 1941 – August 5, 2022) was an American billionaire businessman and once Chief executive officer, CEO of Ohio-based Reynolds & Reynolds software company. Early life and education Brockman was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. His father Alfred Eugene Brockman was a gas-station owner, and his mother, Pearl, was a physiotherapist. Jonathan Rodney Brockman (born March 20, 1987) is an American former professional basketball player. He was the starting power forward and team captain for the University of Washington men's basketball team. He is the University of Washington's all-time leading rebounder and second-all-time leading scorer in University of Washington history. He grabbed the 1,000th rebound of his career on December 30, 2008, in a win over Morgan State, and became Washington's all-time leading rebounder on January 15, 2009, in a win over Oregon, breaking Doug Smart's school record of 1,051. William Edward Slade Brockman (born 27 March 1970) is an Australian politician who has served as a Senator for Western Australia since 2017, representing the Liberal Party. The Brockman Building is a 12-story Beaux-Arts, Classical, and Romanesque Revival style building located on 7th Street in Downtown Los Angeles. History Built in 1912, the Brockman Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. The building was built in 1912 for John Brockman (1841-1925) and designed by George D. Barnett (1863-c. 1925) of Barnett, Haynes & Barnett. The Brockman Building was the first building west of the Broadway Commercial District to reach the city's 150-foot height limit. Brockman's move started a westward movement of the downtown commercial district and turned Seventh Street into the city's high-end retail district. Charles Samuel Brockman (1845 – 28 November 1923) was a prominent explorer and pastoralist in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. Born in 1845 at Guildford, Western Australia, Charles' parents, Robert James Brockman and Elizabeth Elliot Walcott, were among the earliest pioneers in the Swan River Colony, later the Colony of Western Australia, arriving in 1830. He received some education through a private tutor, then went to manage his father's station in the Geraldton district at age fourteen, where he remained for the next five years. His younger brother was a fellow explorer and pastoralist, George Julius Brockman. He started his own farm on the Greenough flats, which failed through the red rust that plagued most farmers in the area. He then entered the sandalwood industry in Dongara. Lani Brockman (born December 11, 1956 in Seattle) is an American theater actress and director. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Studio East. Brockman was born in Seattle and grew up in Hawaii. After working as an actress, and later as director of youth programs for Northwest Actors Studio, she founded Studio East in Kirkland, Washington in 1992. Ann Brockman, born Ann Bunce and known as Ann, Lady Brockman ( – 29 November 1660), was an English writer on medicine. She ran an estate in Kent and she compiled a "Book of Receits" listing a wide range of medicines to treat maladies from headache to plague. Life Brockman was born in or before 1600. Her parents were Dorothy (born Grimsdiche) and Simon Bunce of Linstead. Nothing else is known until 28 May 1616 when she married Sir William Brockman of Newington Manor and went to live at his estates in Kent. Vice-Admiral Sir Ronald Vernon Brockman (8 March 1909 – 3 September 1999) was a British senior officer of the Royal Navy. Ann Brockman
Ann Brockman (1896–1943) was an American painter. An oil and watercolor painter, Brockman, who was known for her depictions of the landscape, the coastline, the figure, and animals, was born in Alameda, California in 1899. She studied with painters Gifford Beal and John French Sloan, John Sloan at the Art Students League of New York. Over the years, she exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, in Philadelphia, and with the Society of Independent Artists, and Salons of America in New York City. She was an instructor at the Cape Ann School of Art at Rockport, Massachusetts, and spent much time painting in that location and on Cape Cod. She died in New York. The United States Department of State owns examples of her work, as does the Smithsonian American Art Museum. A memorial exhibition was held at the Kraushaar Galleries three years after her death. George Julius Brockman
George Julius Brockman (2 January 1850 – 29 August 1912) was a prominent explorer and pastoralist in the Gascoyne and Kimberley regions of Western Australia. Born in 1850 at Guildford, George was the seventh son of Robert Brockman and brother of Charles Samuel Brockman. Brockman's father was a settler in the Lake Bamban district near Gingin. The family moved to Mimigarra, near Moore River while Brockman was still a boy then later to a property on the Greenough River. Brockman left home at 16 years of age and rode south to Busselton and eventually took a job on Henty station near Bunbury. The May River and Meda River were named in 1881 by Brockman during an expedition in the Kimberley area looking for grazing land north of the Fitzroy River.
