Blessthefall (stylized as blessthefall or BLESSTHEFALL prior to 2013) was an American metalcore band from Phoenix, Arizona, signed to Rise Records. The band was founded in 2004 by guitarist Mike Frisby, drummer Matt Traynor, and bassist and vocalist Jared Warth. Their debut studio album, '' His Last Walk'', with original vocalist Craig Mabbitt, was released April 10, 2007. Their second studio album, ''Witness'', with second vocalist Beau Bokan, was released October 6, 2009. Their third studio album, '' Awakening'', was released on October 4, 2011. Their fourth studio album, '' Hollow Bodies'', was released on August 20, 2013. '' To Those Left Behind'' is the band's fifth studio album, released on September 18, 2015. Hollow Bodies
''Hollow Bodies'' is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band Blessthefall. It was released on August 20, 2013, through Fearless Records and produced by Joey Sturgis. It is the third album to include lead singer Beau Bokan, second album to include rhythm guitarist, Elliott Gruenberg and the first to include the same members in consecutive albums. The band announced the album on June 10, 2013, and published the album cover and track list. On June 25, the song "You Wear a Crown But You're No King" was released as the first single. A video of interviews with the band members in the studio was released on July 24 that also showed a preview of the second single "DΓ©jΓ Vu" which was released on July 30. On August 13, the entire album was streamed through Billboard.com. ''To Those Left Behind'' is the fifth studio album by American metalcore band Blessthefall. The album was released on September 18, 2015, through Fearless Records and was produced by Joey Sturgis. It is their last album to be released on this label before the band signed to Rise Records in 2018. The first single, "Up in Flames" was released on July 9, 2015, while the band was on Vans Warped Tour 2015. Background The band announced in April that they had entered the studio to work with Joey Sturgis for their fifth album. ''Awakening'' is the third studio album by American metalcore band Blessthefall. It was released on October 4, 2011, through Fearless Records. It is the band's second album with singer Beau Bokan and first album with rhythm guitarist Elliott Gruenberg after the departure of Mike Frisby. The album was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, producer of the second album, ''Witness''. On September 12, the song "40 Days..." was released on the IGN site. It debuted at No. 32 on the ''Billboard'' 200, selling over 11,290 copies in its first week. In Canada, the album debuted at No. 88 on the Canadian Albums Chart. Like ''Witness'', the album features a few songs without harsh screaming or death growls. His Last Walk
''His Last Walk'' is the debut studio album by American metalcore band Blessthefall. The album was released on April 10, 2007. It is the only studio album by the band to feature original vocalist Craig Mabbitt, who would later be replaced by Beau Bokan. The album was released before Blessthefall started to play on the Taste of Chaos tour. The last song, "His Last Walk", features a hidden track called "Purple Dog", which is a joke song made by the band members in which all members sing the song and clap their hands. The album was re-released through Ferret Music, featuring an acoustic version of "Rise Up" and "I Wouldn't Quit If Everyone Quit" as bonus tracks, the latter of which was previously released as a stand-alone single. ''Hard Feelings'' is the sixth and final studio album by American metalcore band Blessthefall. The album was released on March 23, 2018, through Rise Records. It was produced by Tyler Smyth and the band themselves. It is their only album to be released after the band signed to Rise Records in 2018. Background and promotion On January 26, 2018, they announced they have signed a new record deal with Rise Records. In the same month, the ensemble published a music video for "Melodramatic", with a video for "Wishful Sinking" broadcast the month following. ''Witness'' is the second studio album by American metalcore band Blessthefall. It was released on October 6, 2009, through Fearless Records. It is the band's first album with Beau Bokan on lead vocals and final album with original guitarist Mike Frisby. The album was co-produced with There for Tomorrow drummer, Christopher Kamrada. This album includes a post-metal entrance, "2.0", and some songs without any screams or death growls. The song "God Wears Gucci" was released in MySpace and the iTunes Store on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, and is the third song released off the album, along with "To Hell & Back" and "We'll Sleep When We're Dead", although these were demonstrations to the album versions. Beau Bokan
Beau Mark Bokan (born November 30, 1981) is an American musician and singer best known as the former lead vocalist of Blessthefall, and the former vocalist of Take the Crown. Background On September 26, 2008, Bokan joined Blessthefall as the vocalist to replace Craig Mabbitt, who left the band due to personal differences and later joined Escape the Fate. He has recorded five studio albums with Blessthefall before their breakup in 2022. Personal life Bokan is of half Mexican descent. He married Canadian electro-pop singer Lights on May 12, 2012. On November 4, 2013, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. On February 15, 2014, Lights gave birth to a daughter. Bokan is Roman Catholic. He follows a straight edge lifestyle and has been a vegetarian since 2017. Matt Traynor
Matthew James Traynor is an American musician that primarily performs metalcore, and best known for being the former drummer of the metalcore band Blessthefall from its formation in 2004 until his departure in 2018. He is originally from Massapequa, New York, but moved to Phoenix, Arizona and eventually helped form Blessthefall. Background Traynor has been playing drums since 2000. Traynor started his musical career with bassist Jared Warth and guitarist Mike Frisby in 2002. The trio formed the band and hired vocalist Craig Mabbitt in early 2004. Traynor is one of the only two remaining original members, the other being Warth, after Frisby left the band in 2011. In 2018, Traynor announced his departure from the band. Craig Edward Mabbitt (born April 9, 1987) is an American singer-songwriter and recording artist. He is the lead vocalist for American rock band Escape the Fate. He was formerly the lead vocalist for the bands Blessthefall and The Word Alive. He is also the current lead vocalist of his side-project band, The Dead Rabbitts. Early life In his early childhood, Mabbitt required the frequent and scheduled use of a nebulizer as a result of severe asthma. He also had to attend a special class due to a speech disorder, but nevertheless he overcame these setbacks, and in his adolescent years, realized his "dream of becoming a singer in a rock band."
