Betevé, stylized ''betevé'', formerly called ''Barcelona Televisió'', is a Spanish free-to-air television channel in Catalan language, that is broadcast in Barcelona and its neighboring county, owned by the City Council of Barcelona. History During the government of Pasqual Maragall, the municipal television system of Barcelona was launched, however, originally there were 10 different channels, one for each urban district of the city, on November 3, 1994, the city council decided to unify the ten channels into a single one called Barcelona Televisió with the aim of providing legal coverage to the local public television system, since the district television stations broadcast in an illegal situation as they did not have the respective official licenses. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. The trial of Catalonia independence leaders, legally named and popularly known as the , was an oral trial that began on 12 February 2019 in the Supreme Court of Spain. The case was tried by seven judges and was chaired by judge Manuel Marchena. Judge had previously coordinated an instruction between October 2017 and July 2018, as a result of which 12 people were tried, including the previous vice president Oriol Junqueras of the regional government and most of the cabinet as well as political activists Jordi SÃ nchez and Jordi Cuixart and the former Speaker of the Parliament of Catalonia Carme Forcadell. Districts Of Barcelona
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain is divided into 10 districts. These are administrated by a councillor designated by the main city council, and each of them have some powers relating to issues such as urbanism or infrastructure in their area. The current division of the city into different districts was approved in 1984. In 2009 Barcelona started using a new division of 73 neighbourhoods (the 10 districts are still in use), a division that was done for a better service from the City Council. Pasqual Maragall i Mira (; born 13 January 1941) is a Spanish politician and former List of Presidents of Catalonia, President of Generalitat de Catalunya. He had previously been Mayor of Barcelona, from 1982 to 1997, and helped run the city's successful Olympic Games, Olympic bid.
