bTV Comedy is a Bulgarian family-based television channel, airing mostly comedy series. It is part of bTV Media Group, owned by Central European Media Enterprises, a subsidiary of AT&T/WarnerMedia. Originally launched in 1997 as Television Triada - a news channel airing CNN English language news, it replaced TV5 Monde terrestrial in Sofia. bTV Action is a Bulgarian man-based television channel. The channel, along with sports channel RING, bTV, bTV Comedy, bTV Cinema and bTV Lady are part of bTV Media Group, owned by the US media conglomerate CME(through WarnerMedia/AT&T). Krassimir Guergov ( bg, Красимир Гергов) is a Bulgarian businessman, who was born on 30 September 1961. He is an ex-officer from the Bulgarian secret services during the communist regime. His main business is related to advertising and media in Bulgaria. He completed "Sports Journalism", "Tourism, Alpinism and Orienteering" and specialised World Report at CNN, Atlanta and London. In 1994 he acquired the right to broadcast the American TV channel CNN in Bulgaria and created the first private national television in Bulgaria, broadcasting the CNN programme (Triada - CNN). TV5Monde (), formerly known as TV5, is a French public television network, broadcasting several channels of French-language programming. It is an approved participant member of the European Broadcasting Union. The network is available across Europe on satellite via Astra 19.2°E and Eutelsat Hot Bird (13°E) (both free-to-air), online and via TVPlayer. bTV is the first private nationwide television channel in Bulgaria. It is operated by bTV Media Group, as part of Central European Media Enterprises, and is reportedly the Bulgarian television channel with the largest viewing audience. It was previously owned by Balkan News Corporation, part of News Corporation.
