Steve Axman
Steve Axman (born June 10, 1947) is an American football coach. He was the head football coach at Northern Arizona University from 1990 to 1997 and the interim head coach at Nicholls State University in 2014. Football coaching career High school career Axman was head coach at MacArthur High School in Levittown, New York in 1973. College career Axman began coaching in college in 1974 as a defensive line coach at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. In 1975, he was the offensive line coach at the University at Albany, SUNY.> From 1976 to 1978, he was an assistant coach for the Army Black Knights football team at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. In 1979, he moved to the University of Illinois as an assistant coach for the Fighting Illini. In 1980, he was hired for his first co-ordinator position as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Arizona, a position he held through the 1984 season. Dick Axman
Dick Axman (February 28, 1891 – December 8, 1969) was a pioneer American sports publicist, sportswriter, magazine creator and magazine editor. Dick began his career in 1927, writing a column about boxing, and is most notable for his promotion of professional wrestling. In 1946, Dick was the co-creator of the earliest wrestling publication ''Wrestling As You Like It'', and he was the editor from 1946 to 1955.Dell, Chad.
