The American Psychopathological Association (APPA) is an organization "devoted to the scientific investigation of disordered human behavior, and its biological and psychosocial substrates." The association’s primary purpose is running an annual conference on specific topics relevant to psychopathology research. ''Appa'' ( ''Father'') is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language independent drama film written and directed by Samuthirakani and is produced by Sasikumar who also plays a guest appearance. The film is a spin-off to the 2012 film ''Saattai'' and the second installment in the film series. The film features Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah reprising their roles from the previous film, while Namo Narayanan, Vignesh and Nasath play supporting roles. Featuring music composed by Ilaiyaraaja, the film began production in late 2015 and continued till March 2016. The film was released on 1 July 2016. Appa (character)
Appa ( zh, c=阿柏, p=Ā Bǎi) is a fictional character on the Nickelodeon animated television series ''Avatar: The Last Airbender'' and in the film ''The Last Airbender''. In the series, Appa is a combination of flying bison and a manatee, a species of animals that can fly naturally, and is the animal spirit guide of the protagonist, Aang. Dee Bradley Baker voices Appa, along with all the other animals, in both the TV series and the film. Creation and conception The show's creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have described Appa's appearance as a cross between a buffalo and a manatee, although its body plan does resemble that of a water bear. is a Japanese rock band formed in 2004 by Keitaro Izawa, Kazuto Satō, and Hideaki Hotta. Since Izawa is well grounded in jazz and classical music, Appa's music is influenced by them. The biggest feature of the playing style of Appa is Izawa's piano playing. Izawa, who is the leader of Appa, is one of the members of Tokyo Jihen (from 2005). History In 2004, Izawa, who had quit his band NAM, formed a band named "Appa" with Satō and Hotta. They often held live performances, but not so many people came to like them. Lou Marinoff is a Canadian-born academic, author, and Commonwealth Scholar. He is Professor of Philosophy and Asian Studies at The City College of New York and founding President of the American Philosophical Practitioners Association. Rachid El Ghazoui (born 27 January 1983), also known by his stage name Appa, is a Dutch rapper, whose roots lie in the mountainous regions of North-Morocco. In 2002, he joined rap formation Tuindorp Hustler Click (THC), but decided to go solo. He is known for the political content of his lyrics and criticism of nationalist MP Geert Wilders. Apa or Appa (also ''Alban''; died after 1161) was a nobleman in the Kingdom of Hungary in the second half of the 12th century, who held courtly positions and elevated into the dignity of Ban of Slavonia during the last period of the reign of Géza II of Hungary. Ancestry His origin is unknown, but his brother was the powerful and well-educated prelate, Lucas, Archbishop of Esztergom. According to Mór Wertner, Apa's namesake father was that Apa, who was referred one of the powerful lords in 1108, during the reign of Coloman the Learned. Dutch Slave Coast
The Dutch Slave Coast (Dutch: ''Slavenkust'') refers to the trading posts of the Dutch West India Company on the Slave Coast, which lie in contemporary Ghana, Benin, Togo, and Nigeria. The primary purpose of the trading post was to supply slaves for the Dutch colonies in the Americas. Dutch involvement on the Slave Coast started with the establishment of a trading post in Offra in 1660. Later, trade shifted to Ouidah, where the English and French also had a trading post. Political unrest caused the Dutch to abandon their trading post at Ouidah in 1725, now moving to Jaquim, at which place they built Fort Zeelandia.
