Sunan Al-Sughra
''Al-Sunan al-Sughra'' ( ar, السنن الصغرى), also known as ''Sunan al-Nasa'i'' ( ar, سنن النسائي), is one of the Kutub al-Sittah (six major hadiths), and was collected by al-Nasa'i (214 – 303 AH; c. 829 – 915 CE). Description Sunnis regard this collection as the third most important of their six major hadith collections. ''Al-Mujtaba'' (English: the selected) has about 5,270 hadiths, including repeated narrations, which the author selected from his larger work, ''As-Sunan al-Kubra''. Within Kutub al-Sittah, it is considered the most authentic book of hadith (narrations of Muhammad) after the Sahihayn (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim) by most scholars of hadith. Views According to al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar, the book of Sunan an-Nasa'i contains the fewest da‘eef (weak) hadiths and majrooh narrators among the six books after the Saheehain (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim); there is not a single mawdhoo (fabricated) hadith in it. It is claimed Sunan al-Sughra ...

Six Major Hadith Collections
The ''Kutub al-Sittah'' ( ar-at, ٱلْكُتُب ٱلسِّتَّة, al-Kutub as-Sittah, lit=the six books) are six (originally five) books containing collections of ''hadith'' (sayings or acts of the Islamic prophet Muhammad) compiled by six Sunni Muslim scholars of Persian origin in the ninth century  CE, approximately two centuries after the death of Muhammad. They are sometimes referred to as ''al-Sihah al-Sittah'', which translates as "The Authentic Six". They were first formally grouped and defined by Ibn al-Qaisarani in the 11th century, who added Sunan ibn Majah to the list. Since then, they have enjoyed near-universal acceptance as part of the official canon of Sunni Islam. Not all Sunni Muslim jurisprudence scholars agree on the addition of Ibn Majah. In particular, the Malikis and Ibn al-Athir consider al-Muwatta' to be the sixth book. The reason for the addition of Ibn Majah's Sunan is that it contains many Hadiths which do not figure in the other five, wherea ...

Umayyad Mosque
The Umayyad Mosque ( ar, الجامع الأموي, al-Jāmiʿ al-Umawī), also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus ( ar, الجامع الدمشق, al-Jāmiʿ al-Damishq), located in the old city of Damascus, the capital of Syria, is one of the largest and oldest mosques in the world. Its religious importance stems from the eschatological reports concerning the mosque, and historic events associated with it. Christian and Muslim tradition alike consider it the burial place of John the Baptist's head, a tradition originating in the 6th century. Muslim tradition holds that the mosque will be the place Jesus will return before the End of Days. Two shrines inside the premises commemorate the Islamic prophet Muhammad's grandson Husayn ibn Ali, whose martyrdom is frequently compared to that of John the Baptist and Jesus. The site has been used as a house of worship since the Iron Age, when the Arameans built on it a temple dedicated to their god of rain, Hadad. Under Roman rule, beg ...
