Brian Agler
Brian Agler (born August 2, 1958) is an American women's professional basketball coach. He previously coached the Dallas Wings from 2019 to 2020. He also had previously been head coach of the Seattle Storm and the Los Angeles Sparks, each of whom he led to a championship in 2010 and 2016 respectively. During his coaching career, Agler has guided young stars like Candace Parker, Nneka Ogwumike, Alana Beard, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Tayler Hill, Liz Cambage, Megan Gustafson, and Arike Ogunbowale. Early years Agler attended college at Wittenberg University in Ohio, where he cheered on the Tigers win the 1977 Division III NCAA Championship as a point guard. He graduated in 1980. Joe Agler
Joseph Abram Agler (June 12, 1887 – April 26, 1971) was a professional baseball player. He played all or part of three seasons in Major League Baseball between 1912 and 1915. He played mostly as a first baseman, but also played substantially in the outfield. He made his major league debut for the Washington Senators at the end of the 1912 season. He returned to the majors with the Buffalo Buffeds in 1914, when he played in 135 games. He started the next season with Buffalo, but moved to the Baltimore Terrapins partway through the season. Jim Agler
Jim Agler is a mathematician who is an emeritus professor at the University of California, San Diego. He is a fellow of the American Mathematical Society since 2016, for "contributions to operator theory and the theory of analytic functions of several complex variables". He obtained his Ph.D. from the Indiana University Bloomington in 1980 under the supervision of John B. Conway. His thesis was on Sub-Jordan operators. Agler and John E. McCarthy are the authors of the book ''Pick Interpolation and Hilbert Function Spaces'' (American Mathematical Society, 2002). Bob Agler
Robert J. Agler (March 13, 1924 – September 16, 2005) was an American gridiron football player, coach of football and basketball, and college athletics administrator. He played professionally as a fullback and punter for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL) and the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Agler appeared in 16 games for the Rams from 1948 to 1949. With the Stampeders, Agler ran for two touchdowns and kicked 37 punts. Agler served two stints as the head football coach at his alma mater, Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, from 1955 to 1965 and 1970 to 1974, compiling a record of 74–63–5. He was also the head basketball coach at Otterbein from 1955 to 1958, tallying a mark of 13–39.
